Just a tip from a nail tech. If you choose to glue down lifting product you are at a higher risk for nail bacteria and fungus. Because you aren’t able to cleanse the nail plate properly before gluing, you may be trapping germies or moisture in the glue which can lead to nasties on the nail. If this is a common issue for you, I would recommend closer together appointments, or possibly, the dip powder may be too ridged for you, and you may have better luck with a soft gel structured mani. It’s more flexible and will bend slightly with your nail instead of lifting. ☺️☺️☺️

Hi there! I'd like to pick your brain, if your don't mind. Nail polish doesn't last on my nails more than a day or two. Gel nail polish (cured) doesn't last, it pops off after a day or two. Acrylic nails and gel nails done professionally last about a week. Why do others have such success and longevity and I don't?

@@jaeves007 ABSOLUTELY! I’d love to try to help! it’s hard to say exactly especially without working on you, but it’s possible you just have oilier nail beds and require more dehydration then others. (Acetone or a dehydrator works great) it’s also possible you just have VERY flexible, bendy nails, in which case you need more structure then just gel polish, but more flexibility then acrylic. Like a hard gel, or even a soft structure gel. There are also primers on the market that are formulated for people who have this issue. Fuzions problem child comes to mind. If you have a good relationship with your nail tech just ask them to troubleshoot with you. All that being said, it’s still important to take care of your mani! Cuticle oil twice a day, wearing gloves when cleaning, not using your nails to pick at things or pick things up, open things. I hope this helps a little! Good luck!!! 🖤

I got a pedicure for the first time a few months ago and it was lovely but that polish only lasted about 2-3 weeks. When I do my toes at home, man, it stays on forever! I appreciate your response so much, thanks!

I struggle so much to workout. Whenever I walk for an hour I love how I feel and I say to myself I’m going to do it more often. Yet don’t do it again for a long time. I’ve been lacking energy and I feel as if I’m sluggish but it also feels like laziness. I wish I had a workout buddy to hold me accountable somehow. 😅

30:34 I ‘tried’ waking up at 6:00 am yesterday. My alarm goes off at 4:30, so I can exercise before I get ready for work, so I tried to skip my workout and sleep until 6:00, but I’d done that a couple times last week, so I got back out of bed and did the workout. So it was funny to hear you say something about waking up at 6:00 like that was the early rise time, when it was totally my ‘sleep in’ time. Everything is relative!

I started using Lume in 2020 and still using it. I will not purchase what looks like a deodorant stick anymore. You apply it with your fingers so it is just as easy to use the tube for me. I wondered what took so long for someone to talk about it. Love it!

We have the puzzle piece type of gym flooring and it’s great and inexpensive but you have to put it on top of hard flooring or a hard surface of some kind. Would be too wobbly otherwise.

I love Lume!! I have been using them for several years. They are my favorite deodorant ever. My favorite scent so far is coconut Crush closely followed by silver spruce. I can do an hour long workout and not have to worry about it. I live in Texas and it’s quite hot here six months out of the year and again no worries. Plus the commercials are hilarious!

I got a sample of Lume randomly at Target a couple of weeks ago and have been soooo pleased! It works really well on me! I’m pregnant and tend to get pretty severe breast eczema during pregnancy, and my armpits usually get really sensitive too. My entire family has the MTHFR mutation as well and a good thing to know about it is that it can make you more susceptible to anxiety and depression, so it’s a good idea to consistently check in with your doctor about your mental health!
