The boat races are my favorite. They are during the day. At night, they have fireworks and boat light parade…

I'll have to watch the boat races next time.

You weren't kidding.. the crowd is massive. Glad your feet made it out alive.. lol

The crowd was nuts but it was manageable because of how much fun everyone was having. No matter how packed it got, I had fun. I'm glad that I went. Thanks for the push.

@@FrugalWanderer most welcome... I am your official "push buddy" 🤣

Water Festival and Khmer New Year celebrations are the most crowded ever since way back in the 60s as I recall it. Phnom Penh even got much worse than any others for their crowd size easily over a million people. Peace out from Minnesota and we're still in the 50F here🎉
@FrugalWanderer24 күн бұрын
I've been to both now and they are a blast. I enjoy how they celebrate here. So good. It's 33C here. A bit warmer than where you are. Try to stay warm.

That was a good fun festival, the crowd is not my thing. So thanks so much for vlogging it.

I'm not a huge fan of crowds either but they are not bad here. The people behave differently and as crowded as it is, everyone just has fun. No drama at all. I love it.

Hey Sean. Looks like there is a lot to see. I'm fine in big crowds as long as people are moving. If things slow down to a snails pace and people start bumping into me I wouldn't feel very comfortable lol. tyvm for sharing the sights with us.
@FrugalWanderer24 күн бұрын
For the most part it was moving very well. There was one place that I didn't film where it slowed right down but still it wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed myself

Really interesting. Many thanks. Have you lost your glasses ? I’m always losing mine. Often found on my head 😂😂😂

I have my glasses. I try not to wear them at night when I'm walking around. I use them mostly for reading.

Good video Sean. My local friend told me that the majority of those who attended the Water Festival are Countryside folk. It was a huge event for them to travel to the "BIG" city of Siem Reap.
@FrugalWanderer24 күн бұрын
That makes complete sense. Especially seeing how busy the local restaurants were. It was a great festival.

I found the crowds ok, except for Friday night. The streets along the river and across the bridges were a people river on Friday. What a cool festival it was though.
@FrugalWanderer24 күн бұрын
Yeah. I was out Friday a Before 7pm and it was a sea of people. I can only imagine what it was like later. I had a blast though

Welcome to Siem Reap. I'm a long term resident here now as well. I'm happy with this being my home and I'll travel every couple of months to make extra content when I feel inspired. A coffee one day would be great.
