It kinda depends on the barista. A lot of the times they will still make the drink in a cup and pour it in your reusable cup unfortunately :/ I’m a barista at Starbucks and we usually start making the drinks as soon as they are ordered through the drive thru, but some baristas wait for the cup and some don’t!

Jasmine Mireya you can ask at the intercom to get your drink in a personal cup and they usually won’t use plastic and give you a 10 cent discount (at least where I live)

I was a Starbucks barista a couple of years ago (so this could have totally changed) but the green lines on the side of the plastic cups are what baristas use to “measure” for how much liquid to put in various drinks. So even if you bring in a reusable cup, they usually will still use the plastic cup to measure so that you are getting the correct size/portions for drinks and then just pour it into a reusable mug.

I think i kinda relate to your situation right now. I’m a senior in college and all of my college friends graduated in 3 years and moved away so I’m super lonely all the time.
