This is crazy to me because in america these facilities are nothing like this. They treat you like a prisoner. I'm terrified of going to one. I can't escape my constant anxiety and suffering. I found this video looking for anxiety related videos. It's hard to document what a person looks like when they are having anxiety attacks but I think you did a good job of doing that.

This is a residential hospital, so it's lower level and you have much more freedom. I'm sorry to hear how bad they treat you in America, can't be helpful for anyone. Thank you

This hospital is so nice! Over here at the hospital I went to in America, I second what someone said they treat you like a prisoner, take your phone your clothes everything. It’s a disaster and it could actually make someone’s anxiety worse just staring at 4 walls

I feel this. I have been to 5 hospitals and each one treats you like a prisoner

That sounds horrible! I struggle to believe that would actually help somebody. This is a residential place, they are very low security/lowkey. Beautiful, beautiful surroundings

Yeah this is residential treatment and in america its just this video. Where they take your phone and stuff thats either an acute care facility or a drug rehab. For example eating dorder recovery center RTC, innova grace RTC, laurel ridge RTC, meadows RTC etc are all just like the video.

It's so hard when you have severe anxiety. I have it and major depression. Everyday is a challenge. If I get up. Trying different meds to help but end up taking extra sometimes just to do normal things like going to the store. Crowds are horrible. I also have breathing problems, so panic attacks feel like I'm dying. And rn being uninsured I can't get all my meds, blood pressure for example. Heart beats so fast at times. I live in the south in America and I feel like people are not doing enough here. Mental health for the most part is stigma. I always say to myself to just keep going. It is amazingly difficult. I've had a lot of trauma in my life. Acting like everything is fine is just as bad as the anxiety. I can't give up though, and grateful there are videos like this. Thank you for shedding more light. We all have to for the sake of Mental Health.

Maria, that's great, that you can get inpatient help in a nice facility like this one. In UK we cannot even dream about it. Health system is free here, but very limited and you have to get in a queue for any CBT therapy (group or one on one). I'm going through relapse. And your videos help me a lot. Just to know, that I'm not alone in this journey. Thank you so much!💞 And get well!🤍

Hi fellow Maria, I had to wait 15 months for this admisson, but grateful at last. It's free here too, but limited and square. It's difficult getting good help. Sending you hugs of strength ❤️

@@thebigscreentheory hi Maria🤍, Sending you my hugs and wishes to get well. It's a long process, you abviously know that. It takes me some small thing to relaps, and then months to recover. We're together in this jorney🤍 P.S. I'm happy, that you finally got your chance to go to the hospital. Yeap, Norway hospital queue is also very long:(

do they let everyone go outside by themselves ? is this in norway ?
@thebigscreentheory Жыл бұрын
Yes! It's a residential hospital, not a psychiatric ward. This place is low-risk, more home-like. It's a place to receive therapeutic treatment slightly more intensively than in outpatient care :)
