I work at the largest antique mall in my state and it's a nightmare for my allergies and skin. You'd be surprised all the stuff you get exposed to! Whether it's various rusty metals, tons of dust, or copious cleaning supplies. Not to mention all the lead or mercury based items! I wish I'd known that even just retail could be hazardous for eczema!

Omg my mom used to be partners in an antique store and I had miserable allergies! I totally relate! All that OLD dust, rust, lead, certain metals give off toxic fumes…gah! Knowing all you’ve probably gone thru my only surcease from them was homeopathy 🧐🤨🤣🙏🏻❤️

I loved watching Dick Van Dyke and all of the other old shows on Nick at Night. I also find myself preferring youtube over other options these days. I've got an ever curious mind, so having an endless source of free and interesting learning material is wonderful. When I wanted to learn more about skincare, finding your channel was such a huge win! I live alone as well, and being able to hear someone talk while I do my dishes and other chores is nice. We live in such interesting times.

Yeah agreed I do the same! But with all the censureship I’m looking for other FREE MINDED platforms! I might not be on here that much longer coz they’re pissing me off! I used to spend HOURS in the local libraries! I sought obscure materials just by walking down an aisle grabbing a book. Many I put back coz boring lol. Here’s to learning till I’m ashes!!!🙏🏻❤️

Oh god. I can’t tell you how same i feel. I struggle to start or continue any show. Heck that I can’t keep up with movies! People ask me if i wanna join them I politely refuse (dying internally) thinking they would judge me like how do you not watch em? Whereas KZbin is life. It is literally life. i can spend whole day on it. I too love informative stuff, podcasts n people giving their opinions. The thing that you said it’s real this is exactly why I’m hooked to it. Shows are fictional and makes me feel like - so what do i do? This is not my life, I can’t relate. Thanks i feel heard now 😌

“All in The Family” was a favorite of mine, as my own parents epitomized the characters of Edith and Archer Bunker to the T, gladly or sadly, it really just depended on the circumstances. I always liked “The Waltons” because it represented a family that plays together and stays together, encouraging “family business and familial closeness”, all while personifying and promoting families that helped each other out, come what may. I don’t really appreciate or anticipate Valentine’s Day anymore, like we have always and all ways been programmed to welcome and see it as, but I do enjoy it as a way to show my grandkids that Gramma loves them very much, almost as much as the holiday is designed to encourage and promote. There have many moons of the Valentine for me and I think some just have had their fill of chocolate candy and empty boxes, eventually….lol. I so enjoy the chillness of your weekend vlogs, Doc. It is when your energy is so warm and genuine, less business-like and professional, although you wear them both so well. I do hope that your Valentine’s Day is all that you hope it to be. Dueces, Doc. 💛

The most recent 30 min US comedy that I enjoyed was "Difficult People", which is not a family sitcom. Before that "Curb Your Enthusiam" & "Seinfeld". As an adult maybe I like my sitcoms "snarky"! There's too many to mention pre-90s. Apart from just a few (inc. "The Brady Bunch"). I never really favoured the ones that were set in family homes...maybe because my own family was funny enough! BTW, I am looking forward to my replica "I Dream of Jeannie" bottle arriving in the mail very soon! In Australia we watched US, UK and also Australian sitcoms. There's been many great UK comedies over the decades. Ricky Gervais' "Extras" was hilarious. Many of the episodes included A-list stars, including David Bowie. An Australian satirical sitcom I would recommend is "Frontline"... A satirical look at Australian current affairs reporting, taking aim at the unscrupulous producers and the cynical reporters who abandon all dignity in the pursuit of ratings. 👱♀️❤

Dr Dray you should watch “are you being served” and “keeping up appearances “
@nadab4750 Жыл бұрын
I was anticipating someone mentioning British comedies. "Keeping Up Appearances" was particularly focused on "the class system". The lead female character desperately tried to make people think that she was "posh". Now the internet gets blamed for people wanting to "keep up". Young and older viewers are still comparing one's home/social life, looks etc with others. This human behaviour has always occurred, but to a lesser degree in the past. We should be aware that there are many "influencers" online who are intentionally giving a false impression that their life is much "better" than it really is. However we must also remind ourselves that just because a "keeping it real" contributor doesn't show themselves doing everything in their life doesn't actually mean that they don't do it, or have to mention or show it. 👱♀️❤

I used to watch sooo many sitcoms and live so many. I think home improvement was the best, but a lot of them live up to the hype for me because I’m a very nostalgic person. There is some elements of cheesiness sometimes but it’s mostly the tgif ones like full house. Loved: threes company, bosom buddies, Brady bunch, Charles in charge, who’s the boss, full house, Saved by the bell, family matters, friends, home improvement, step by step, growing pains, friends, my wife and kids, 8 simple rules, and many more. I also loved pbs cartoons and reality shows. I guess I just watched a lot of tv and movies over the years. Then when I started college got too busy and things were just easier to watch online like the tudors, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Pbs frontline. Now it’s mostly just KZbin, but I did get into great British bake off and the crown, and downton abbey. The most recent shows I watched were just clips and episodes on KZbin of Seinfeld, curb your enthusiasm, and Schitt’s creek.
