Day 3: At last, I’m ready to start on the Innsbruck Scarf! (I hope.) I SO wish there were a KZbin video to get me started. I’m just learning to Knit (coming from Crochet). Thought I was good at long tail cast on, but I’ve tried six times to judge the right amount of yarn for the cast on and been way off every time. Waaay to much yarn left on the tail after 99 stitches. So, I’m leaving the too long tail until I’m sure I can knit this pattern, then I’ll “cut & paste.” Love the yarn colors.

Don't panic! There is enough yarn in your full skein to cut that tail! The golden rule is about 3x the length of the cast on (so if your project is going to be 12" wide, start with 36" for cast on!
