I’m so very sorry about Dexter, he was such a gorgeous boy… we lost our 12 year old cat 4 years ago suddenly in very similar circumstances and were devastated. After a few months we got a beautiful kitten and were advised to feed her on a certain high quality brand of biscuits. We had had her for 4.5 months (she was 9 months old) and she overnight became ill without warning. We took her to the vet and her blood cells were low. The vet rang me to say she had got pancytopenia and my kitten was rushed to a critical care centre but died. I saw an article on Facebook and many people (during lockdown) had lost their cats. They had all been fed on the same brand of cat biscuit. It’s thought that there was some mould in the manufacturing process but the company was not held accountable… Our pets are part of the family and it’s so heartbreaking. Sending you big hug. xx
