Disney World | Renovated Citricos Dinner, Terrible Storm, Walkway Around Magic Kingdom

We start off our day by enjoying some of our favorite rides in Magic Kingdom, then we take the walkway from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to the Grand Floridian for a FANTASTIC dinner at Citricos! We narrowly avoid a terrible storm on the way. Then we make our way from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom using the new walkway, and end our night back at Magic Kingdom.

And this storm is why Floridians wait until the last moment for hurricanes because to us that is just a typical summer storm! Literally drove home today with pouring rain and black clouds behind me and full sunshine infront. Never a dull moment in Florida with weather! *ALWAYS take ponchos/raincoats/umbrellas in summer!*

I loved the Phantom of the Opera singing! One of my favorite Broadway shows and it was the first show I ever saw on Broadway!! Loved the vlog! I'm just a little over 2 months out til my next trip and I cannot wait! Also, Felicity smiling at Tyler at the end...such a precious moment!

I'm curious if anyone else has this memory: I remember looking up at the party scene on the haunted mansion and seeing some ghosts dancing above. I know that this isn't true in Disneyland but my only trip to Disney World was in 1996 when I was 9. Not sure if this is an actual part of the ride or a dream I had. Either way it was really cool.

Haunted Mansion is my all time favorite ride too! I still remember the first time I rode it when I was 4. And I’m 46 now lol. I even still remember the shirt my mom wore on that part of the trip. Best memories.

Thank you for sharing! We live in Miami and always had a Disney year pass until about 8 years ago when our kids got older. Our kids now go without us! The other night my husband and I were talking about spending a couple of nights at the Grand Floridian and try out some restaurants we have never been to. We are so excited! Last year we went to Disney Land we and we loved the differences! Disney is just so magical! Thanks again for sharing your restaurant experience!

I was a cast member from January - June of this year, in the Disney College Program, and I worked in ODV at all of the popcorn/ice cream/ pretzel stands in Magic Kingdom & i would have DIED to see you guys in Disney while I was working!! 😭💗 (but I can also confirm the fireworks never got old seeing them every night, it was the most special part of working there 🥹)

Isn't it great when the little humans learn how to say "thank you" and grow smarter and more creative practically every time you see them? (Proud auntie here!) That sudden Florida rainstorm is pretty much how we live in the summer. I'm trying to do some kayaking, and I got rained out due to a storm changing direction. Just be very careful about the lightning here, it does not play around.

I remember the first time I went to Disney I was 4, and I wanted to find characters, and my older brother wanted to ride Haunted Mansion, so he convinced me characters hung out by the Haunted Mansion. It completely traumatized me 🙁 a cast member actually asked my mom if she wanted to get me off early cause I was inconsolable. I have never forgiven my brother for that, but I have learned to love Haunted Mansion. Love that Gigi loves it so much!!!

That Citricos meal looked good. I had short rib with mushroom ravioli at Tutto Italia and it was good. I never see short rib anywhere else on a menu but Disney which is unfortunate its so tender. The DVC towers are going up like mad yet the parks are not getting any larger. We just came back after 7 days and it was packed. Definite in need of another park or expansion.
