Joy, you look amazing! So great to see your smile! Blessings to you as you recover! My 87 yr old mother broke her hip at the end of August, the first 3 weeks were the hardest for her. She now uses a rollator walker with a seat to get around the house but she's doing great! She had a big microbial bandage on the incision for about 2 weeks after the surgery and they removed 27 staples! She said it felt better after they came out as they were tugging on her skin.

Joy, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do all of the rehab available now. AND AND AND AND, when you return to your home. Certainly it is uncomfortable and testing. That is just part of the healing process. While you diligently continue therapy, your wonderful daughter is mentally healing at the same time. I have known a number of hip repair friends who stopped the therapy, their remaining life was very very uncomfortable. Other I know who diligently continued therapy, had very a good future with only minimal occasions of discomfort. YES to Oil of Olay. My grandmother used that daily, nightly, looked younger. One time at hospital emergency they did not believe her age, they thought she was cognitively impaired. We had to produce her government ID to prove her birthday.

I am at a loss for which words to say, which thoughts to express. Most are along the lines that Joy's spirit is so exceptional, her mind so sharp, that it is comforting that her body must be quite resilient to have made it to this age with those things remaining true. It is also proof that she has worked hard to take care of herself. People don't accidentally end up being amazing in old age. I hope and pray that her body comes through for her again, so that she can be fully functional, as her spirit continues to shine brightly in so many lives. Looking forward to seeing the two of you joking around at a belated Thanksgiving dinner at Applebee's!

I remember when Oil of Olay came in a container and the lotion was pink. I used to use it as well. Maybe I'll see what it looks like now. Joy looks great and I'm praying she does well. You got your Mom into assisted living just in time Tracey.

Your mom is 95??? Omg! She looks great!!! Yes..Oil of Olay...was big when I asked ladies in the past what they used on their skin to make them look young..I lived and worked in a retirement community and was around a lot of ladies in their 80s and 90s.

Good to see Joy in good spirits and I’m praying that the therapy goes well and she can heal. I used oil of Olay in my 20s, after I got married and had kids I used Target diaper wipes for about 10 years. Still didn’t have any wrinkles till I was about 58. I don’t really have a lot of money to spend on facial products at the moment, but I do have some oil of Olay lotion that I’m not allergic to… But… I’m going to try the joy of the Lord is my strength, nehemiah 8:10, the oil of gladness that God supernaturally brings (Psalm 45:7), and the Word of God is health to all my flesh (Proverbs 4:22), And there’s a scripture in Job 33:25 it says ~my flesh is as fresh as a young child and I shall return to the days of my youth. I figure if I’m going to be younger in Heaven soon ~why should I get old now?
