Karen I’m a native New Yorker. Before I left New York for years I used to work right across the street from the Ice Skating rink at Rockefeller Center. Every year it was so exciting to witness the transformation of the tree!

We do the same thing with our ham bone from our Christmas (and Easter) ham. We freeze it for bean soup later. I also freeze the leftover bones, and whatever, from a rotisserie chicken to make stock for soups or anything I need broth for. I was raised by a mother & grandmother that taught us to not waste a thing! LOL! Your soup looked delicious, and even though we are enjoying a few days of mild weather here in NC, I might just have to try making that!. Now, I'm off to make myself a cup of tea because you made me want a nice cup of tea!

Karen I always wear gloves when I wash dishes! They save my hands! Especially in the winter! We grow Swiss chard & blanch it and freeze it. It really comes in handy in the winter when we’re ready to make Wedding soup. I have had hard boiled eggs in wedding soup. I have never heard of the way you did it, will have to try that.

OMG...Karen, it's Saturday, December 7th. I just finished making your Wedding Soup and did my final taste test. I can hardly wait til dinner, it's so delicious. I have to tell you the only thing that stumped me for a sec was how to squeeze the water out of the spinach. LOL..then " light bulb" I put it in a mesh strainer and pressed it with a spoon Ta Da. I will be making this apart of my fall and winter menus. Thank You..Big Hugs !!

Your vlogs have been great. I love your lippy cocktail. I may need to get this! I love a hardy Italian Wedding soup too. I will make your version. I love that you add the chicken back into the soup! When I make stock base I use onion carrot, celery, and I place a bundle of parsley, sage, thyme and a couple bay leaf tied with cotton butcher string. Then I let it come to a boil and let it come to a boil and let it gently simmer for 3-4 hours. I also skim it periodically and remove the chicken then strain the liquid from all the veggies and it comes out full of flavor. The egg and parm cheese mixture sounds wonderful. Tfs.

We go to the Rockefeller tree lighting every year. Last night was so cold, but fun! My husband an d i make a day of it with shopping and dinner. We live about 40 minutes away. A appetizer i serve often is crab salad on cucumber rounds or crackers with a small slice of avocado on the top. Thank you for sharing your recipe! Have a great day!

Hey Karen! Those lippie colors are perfect on you! I am in such a mood for wedding soup! Been so busy too! Everywhere I go is super crowded and long lines! Gotta get it done though! I love the snow however my kids live up in the mountains in New Jersey and have had no power since Monday night! They can't even get here because the trees are down crossing the roads. We feel helpless but will be able to get up there this weekend and help with whatever they need! Hubby is going to hook up a generator to their main panel.....we thought a generator would be the perfect gift for them! Ziggy has been going in the pantry and helping himself to his treats...had to move them up two shelves! I can't leave garbage out or he would get to it like Archie. Your soup looks outrageous! Yum! I think I'll put uoma pot for New Year's Eve so when our guests come in they can start with the soup! We are hosting 10 friends. I have a pre programmed electric piano that I will let play. My party starts at 7 too! We are catering Italian food and my guests are each bringing an appetizer and dessert. Should be great! Great vlog hon! Hugs! Xo

I can't wait to make the Italian Wedding Soup. I have tried some of the recipes you and Lauren have shared, like the vegetable medley for Thanksgiving and it was a hit. Loved the apples in it. Your make your wedding soup like my mom, no Italian in her at all, but boy she should have been, the only thing she did different, was made homemade croutons for the top. I will email you two of my favorite appetizers hanky-panky‘s those are super easy and mushroom tarts take a little bit more time but you can freeze them and use them anytime as you just pop them in the toaster oven and reheat them when company arrives they are so yummy if you love mushrooms!!!! I make my homemade chicken soup in a pressure cooker using the whole chicken, an onion, 2 celery stalks, & a can of whole tomatoes, & about 6 boullion cubes.
