So many steps to make these notebooks, wow! You have great patience :). They turned out so nice though, I just love the raccoons so much! And I LOVE your picture book style, WOW! So so cute! Are you doing the MA at Anglia Ruskin Univeristy/Cambridge School of Art? That used to be my dream goal! :)

yes, those notebooks are pretty long to make but I hope I'll speed up with practice :) Thank you very much, I'm very happy with the hardcovers! Oh thank you 😊Yes, it's the MA at the Anglia Ruskin of Cambridge, I love it and I recommend it! I was quite happy with my illustration style until the beginning of 2020 but through the Master, I discovered so many inspiring artists, visual styles and techniques, so I'd love to push my style further 😊I look forward to starting the new semester!

I loved hearing about your illustration masters. Did you literally go to the train station everyday and draw?! I am always so shy to go out and draw in public. Drawing from observation is so helpful though, I really should do more🤔 Are you still in Italy or did you manage to travel back to the UK okay?

Thank you April! I'm glad you liked that kind of content, it's a topic I really care about. eheh not everyday, I was going twice a week, from October to mid-December (in the last week of the semester I went everyday and it was quite intense!) I've always been shy of drawing in public, but little by little I learned not to care about people around me. Honestly, people in London don't care about you 😂 and in the station, they are always in a hurry. Yes, surprisingly they didn't cancel my flight and I returned on the 30th of December!

@@JessWasHere that's cool. I had an idea when I first started KZbin for a video series where I would go to a different coffee shop in my town everymonth for a couple of hours of drawing, and also give a review on the coffee shop 🤣 because I always go to the same one. But I never did it because I was too shy. Maybe in the future (far in the future) when coffee shops are a thing again. Glad you got back to the UK safe!

@@monkeymintaka That's a cool idea!! I miss drawing at the coffee shops so much..clearly, I wanted to be comfortable, so I was staying at the coffee shops inside the stations most of the times 👀I hope we'll get back to "normality" soon!

Hope you're having a great Christmas! I enjoyed this video as usual 😊and love how you keep on trying to perfect things! I see you have done some bookmarks - I'm trying to do some but cannot for the life of me figure out how to print both sides accurately 🤔I also want to put my little logo on them but I just can't get it to work out 🤪do you have any advice?! Thank you x
@JessWasHere4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Helen, I had a lovely Chrismas and I'm having a relaxing holiday, I hope you are well too 😊The bookmarks are the only products that I've completely outsourced (from printed.com) but if you can't manage to print both sides accurately you could try to leave some bleed area (printing a larger margin) so when you trim them, the print should turn out nicely, even if it's slightly off. In that sense, I suggest not having a border/stroke around the design of the bookmark, because you need to be extremely precise to make it look good. Instead, if you have a pattern like mine, it's easier and it will always look good when you trim it :) -I hope I made it understandable 😂- What kind of problem are you having with the logo? :)

@@JessWasHere trying to get it so it's not back to front!! x
@JessWasHere4 жыл бұрын
@@helenhorley4811 ahah yes, that is still a mystery to myself 😂 I imagine you are using the rear paper feed. To print on the other side I usually turn the sheet and then rotate it. If it was just turned the print was coming out back to front but I'm still not sure because on another occasion the printer did differently 😂I would do a couple of tests :) xx
