Been here 4 years, lived all over America and this place beats it hands down. The people are awesome. and it's cheap By the way the renovation of the old town is a work in progress.

I liked it a lot when I was in town. I lived mostly in Tirana but definitely saw the value of the smaller cities. I am glad to hear they are going to fix up the rest because it will really improve the city. Very cool.

Old town is old it was just in such a bad state they had to completely restore most facades which is why it looks so new and bizarre. You can check what the place looked like before the 2018 restoration on Google Street view

its old but they are renovating it instead of demolishing it . Most of the old architecture in Albanian unfortunately was demolished .

Still, the part that is maintained is really beautiful. Would love to see them fix the more abounded area up as well.
