@@dannylobo1997 The legendary Yamaha v max 1200 motorcycle made its debut in 1985 in such a way that motoring fans have fallen off their slippers, to this day it still gets great respect. The new v max 1700 continues this great legend

@matty that doesnt prevent the Gen2 being a legend as well. I own both and it is really surprising how often people come closer to talk about the MAX, esp the Gen2. Even people that obvious have no clue of bikes. That never happened to me with any other bike. VMaxes look brutal and they are if you let them. Unlike all other bikes of the 200hp club the VMax is not fighting for attention. It gets the attention from its massive look. And from the sound of a 1700 V4

i had 2 1200 vmaxes a 1988 which is the one in this video and a 2006 which was always smoked by that 1988. unsure if the 88 had engine mods but it was a great runing machine

@@ultrarider6127 I have been riding V65 Magna's for about 10 years as they are dirt cheap speed. I test rode a 2002 vmax that didn't seem any faster than my Magna. Come to find out the bike had been running nitrous and taking drag runs. I would love to take a ride on a vmax that hasn't been abused. I'm sure that my next muscle cruiser would likely be a 2nd gen vmax but this has me thinking about a first gen.

@@blaine7726 My Dad owned a few V65's, Sabre and Magna, I remember them well, super fast bikes! The Sabre handled so well at the time, I think the Magna was just a little bit quicker, but the Sabre was way better on road trips. He bought and sold so many bikes, but I remember all of his V4's, I was so obsessed with those as a kid, something about the way they sound just hits the right spot. He had a CX650 Turbo at the same time, and said he never owned a bike he hated to ride, more than that little oddity, lol.

Jet kit, nitrous , let’s try that again 06 VMX12C! No replacement for cool either. They have always needed a 6 speed gear box in my opinion.

My 1999 I've owned for quite awhile and these guys are not actually on the throttle Like I am. I've ridden the 1700 and it's a more comfortable awesome bike but when people are to scared to open them up fully your not giving fair review because I always beat my buddy off the line and when my vboost kicks on my tire comes up at 6k rpm and he gets me in the end but they made it seem like the 1200 was slow. Idk guess there's a difference from being on it and watching

The 1200 wasn't designed to handle curves, much like a top fuel car isn't designed for curves.
