Is there a van that can accommodate five passengers with the driver?

Yes, glad you asked. There are particular conversion configurations that can seat up to 4 ambulatory passengers, a driver and wheelchair user. There are even larger vehicle chassis' available that can seat even more.

Such a narrow ramp, im looking for something a little easier to use than this design. My ford transit takes an N-ferno stretcher in the back(3 minutes to stow with the client) and a side mount battery run 9k lb lift. It gets excellent gas mileage and has tons of umph for getting up and go. Loads of space to have family or friends ride with the patient. My dodge grand caravan(turbo) has an easy rear fold-out ramp that I can load any size chair(bariatric or average) in about 2 minutes and have it locked in and secure. This system looks too technical, easy to fail, or have a switch or component fail and then force manual use in front of a client(embarrassing and unprofessional). It has a complicated design even for a retired army 100% disabled combat vet and 20-year construction equipment diesel tech, precision electronics, HVAC, and emissions technician and (licensed, bonded, insured) General Contractor. The routing of wires for switches and mounting locations(poorly engineered, the narrow ramp, which is as wide as the door, and the manual use for electrical failure all seem poorly or maybe complicated designed to me. Just my thoughts. I'll browse some more and see if there is something I like better.

Thanks, Jacob for your comments. Yes, this type of vehicle is not designed for commercial transportation. Most commercial applications utilize a manual, rear-entry ramp system or a full-size lift. However, this system is a great choice for those who need the assistance of power ramps and doors or who travel and drive themselves without assistance or a caregiver. As you can see, a manual ramp system would not be an option for those individuals. However, we do have several types of commercial units available as well that are designed as you described.

@@SuperiorVanMobility Do you have any larger vans like the transit that can take a stretcher in the back and a powered wheelchair lift on the side? My business partner is really interested in getting another one, and we drove to Michigan to get the last one.
