@michaelharris7485 жыл бұрын
@@justicedavenport6388 5.8 is also way more expensive and really doesnt make that much more power compared to the 5.4 which is a beast in its own right. I think if you wanna throw rods and pistons at it and make 1000 iron block 5.4 is the way to go, its a much cheaper way to get there reliably and costs alot less to replace if you ever need to. The 5.8 block is stupid expensive and you really dont get alot of extra performance from it to justify the extra cost imo. Youre better off building a higher compression iron 5.4 for way less money and make 1000 wheel no problem. I think the 5.8 is great but for the money 5.4>5.8

Would an stock 2011 GT500 make same power with Gen 3R?
@VMPPerformanceTV5 жыл бұрын
With the same exact supporting mods it has the potential to.
@michaelharris7484 жыл бұрын
07-12 gt500s make basically identical power when running the same blower and same supporting mods etc. The 13-14 even makes similar power to the earlier cars once they're all running the same blower. The 5.8 has a tad more torque usually (not like the 5.4 is hurting for torque though lol) and when everything is equal pulley wise the 5.8 will make about 2 psi less than the 5.4 because of the displacement. Itll make the same power at 18 psi as the 5.4 does at 20 psi if everything is equal (blower and supporting mods). Basically all gt500s are close to the same (07-12 is the same, the later cars just started out higher due to better intake and tune stock. Once modded 07-12 is essentially the same thing power making wise (07-10 has iron block 11-12 is aluminum))

14 psi on a coyote would be close to 25-28 on these engines they have way less compression its like 8.4:1 stock coyotes are 11:1 and 12:1 depending what year you own. Thats a pretty big difference in compression thats why coyotes make power with alot less boost by comparison its not because the coyote is superior like everyone acts like it is (both are great both make their power different ways)
