One of Tommy Karevik's favorite songs of the Kamelot era about the importance of never giving up on yourself or the people around you, and that you can always make a difference in someone else's life. I just absolutely LOVE and ADORE that message, and am so excited to analyze not only this but speak with Tommy in an interview right afterwards!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Kamelot performing "Under Grey Skies" for the first time, featuring Charlotte Wessels!

That was a fantastic performance. I Iove it when the artists see these videos and get personal feedback, it makes it so real and they must feel so appropriated by a fellow professional singer (who's obviously got a voice of the highest quality). I'd love to see Geoff Tate and Bruce Dickinson see these compliments because they are channel favourites. Lovely to see it ladies.❤️

Speaking of Kamelot, you should check out also some of their earlier albums with original singer Roy Khan. He left the band because he suffered from a massive burn-out, some years ago but he recently started singing again with his first band Coneption and is also on one of Arjen Lucassen´s Star One albums. Kamelot is one of the rare cases of a band, which had not one but 2 exceptional vocalists singing for them.

I worked as one of the concert staff for KAMELOT's live show in Korea ... Everything was so busy but such fond memories ... Youngblood was so chill and wise , like a great leader should be ...... I was also given the task of finding a "vegan" restaurant (not very common at the time) around the area for a certain "Blue haired" guest vocalist member ... she was ranting about the shows in Japan just before coming to Korea ... she saw some certain fans that came to ALL the concerts and casually asked : "will you come to Korea too ?" smiling , their answer was : "NOOO ... never ... we hate Korea" ... she was like "why ?" ... and I was like : "i'm not surprised at all" ...... 🤣 Anyway , the concert ended well and everybody had a great time before leaving 1 day later ...... I was so proud to have personally helped the vegan member ... because she wasnt well known by then but short time later became known worldwide by becoming the new vocalist of ARCH ENEMY ...... Thank you for another great video and having much giggles ... Cheers and pops to Lady Charisma ...... |m|_ //-_- _|m/ ...... ...... ......

Happy Oaks Day from Kentucky (and from Elizabethtown therein) Elizabeth, and Happy Derby Day tomorrow! I’m so excited to see this reaction, as I just watched The Gathering from The Monsters of Rock featuring Marco Hietala. I hope I spelled his name correctly. It was an amazing performance that I think was alluded too in another comment. Thank you so much for being who you are and doing what you do! We love you.

Tommy is amazing and always a joy to hear. Charlotte's voice is always exciting to hear. If you want to hear a couple super vocalists at work you should check out Charlotte and Mellissa Bonny's cover of May it Be with Dark Side of the Moon. Or for a littel different vocalizations Charlotte with Delain has a couple duets with Marco from Nightwish, specifically The Gathering from Monsters of Rock.

I absolutely love this live version of this song, as you said Tommy and Charlotte really blend together so well. It would be great to see a reaction just to Charlotte though, she is an awesome singer. I would suggest We are the Others as one to listen to, it's Charlottes reaction to the senseless death of a young Goth Girl in England and can get very emotional, also The Gathering (Live at the Masters of Rock) , Stardust and Burning Bridges. Also recently Charlotte and Melissa Bonny did a version of "May it Be" with Dark Side of the Moon that's pretty awesome

Your first video i saw was your first Kamelot reaction, it introduced me to both your channel and Kamelot, and since then your channel has become one of my favorite reaction channels and Kamelot has become one of my favorite bands. Soo happy to see you doing more of them, AND you even got an interview with Tommy himself, how cool is that??

Gorgeous reaction. I love Charlotte Wessels so much (but patreon is beyond me at the moment, but all respect to anyone going the indie route). What is less evident in this song is that she does tend to use an interesting nasal twang a lot and, I will assume from her native language, often subs "de-" for "th-" words. Not a criticism, just an interesting and instantly identifiable style choice. My favourite from her is one, sadly, you probably can't react to without permission. She did a duet with Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy (they have worked together a number of times) that is all clean and the way their voices blend and weave together is just divine. It is called "Lizzie" and is on the album she released ... last year was it? It is so achingly beautiful and absolutely worth the time and trouble.

I joined her Patreon hoping for more metal. That hasn't really happened, but I'm just blown away by every song she's released while on her own. Not metal at all, but not a single song disappoints! My favourite stays however Soft Revolution. It showcases everything I love about her and her voice.

Charlotte Wessels best performance is on Delain's song GET THE DEVIL OUT OF ME! The slides she performs are CRAZY! She trained as a Jazz singer! She also does a song with Alissa White-Gluz. The Red hair and the Blue hair meld perfectly together!

This song means sooo much too me because I have had periods where I didn't wanted to be part of this part but when i heard this song for the song I cried my heart out because as Tommy already mentioned about what the song is about I made a MASSIVE switch in my life where I said to myself OKAY you are now gonna fight because you DO deserve too be hear in this world. It's soooo awesome how strong the medium of music can be such a massive part of your life.

That last chorus just makes you feel that special kind of way and then his high belt on "die for that someone" is so passionate and powerful. On the flip side, I've never liked the ending of this song. Just the way it drops out. Such a big ending into nothing. Definitely artistic and I feel I understand the meaning of them ending on "what kind of fool am I" but I just feel so unresolved.
