IMHO, you cannot compare ANYONE to the one and only Ofra Haza! Her voice is HOLY. Her voice STIRS you inside! She was taken from us way way way too soon. Love you Ofra.

I appreciate your expert analysis. I really enjoyed it. This is a bit apples/oranges but I can see the similarities in their voices. Ofra is a much more fluid singer. Madonna isn’t due to being a dancer and learning to take short quick breaths. A very good example of Madonna being very fluid is her Oscar performance of Sooner or Later. She was very fluid and I wish you’d have compared more of that. Madonna sometimes lacks breath control and tongue/throat tension. Madonna also famously has severe allergies which dry out her throat. She suffered terrible throat infections throughout her Blond Ambition tour documented in Truth Or Dare. I think you hit on something about Madonna’s voice that you can’t learn- the emotion, the performance, the X factor. And I agree, Madonna has a fuller voice in many respects. When Madonna is on, she’s ON. There are also much better performances of Madonna. I think the Ray Of Light Oprah performance ( aside from the annoying reverb) shows just how much bigger Madonna’s range and strength truly are.

About Madonna. The writing of the song Frozen and the video for this song were created after Madonna saw a video with a song by Russian singer Linda, very popular 20 years ago. On the new show, Diana performed Linda's song just phenomenally, it's interesting what Madonna would say if she heard this song performed by Diana Ankudinova.

Madonna doesn't usually stay still in front of a microphone though. She moves and dances a lot. Pretty much all the performances you showed of her were part of a bigger set were she sang and performed other numbers before the ones you analysed. That song from Evita on the chair was performed almost one hour into the show.
