I made a microphone booth in very simple pvc pipe frame Five cotton quilted curtains are put on the PVC frame, and sound absorbing sponges are attached to the inside. Overall dimensions are 1.1x1.1x2.1 meters (WxDxH).

This is great, but no links to materials? Can you please provide links to where you got the materials? The diameter of the PVC? Did you have to cut them? Where did you get your grommeted blankets? Can you do measurements in feet/inches please? Thank you!

@@PlanetIrv Would you mind checking how much this blocks the sound from the outside? Would really appreciate it! I wanna practice vocals, but can't due to living in an apartment with super thin walls (can literally hear my neighbour pee). Don't wanna build this only to realize it doesn't help that much 🤣
@PlanetIrv Жыл бұрын
@@JamieR currently working on it, but I’m building mine 4 x 4 x 6 feet. So 6 feet tall. Also a rug below will help some I’ll get back to you about the sound, I might do a video on it

@@JamieR finished and recorded final vocals for a song The difference is pretty amazing Sound can get in but if you have a reasonably quiet house should fine I can’t hear any reflections at all, meaning all most or all are absorbed, and mic picks up mostly from voice

Does it block outside noise?
@3xfthelabel2 ай бұрын
it won’t fully block out the noise but it will greatly reduce how the impact the microphone, if use a noise gate on ur microphone as well as this booth u can achieve some very high quality recordings

Ye, great feedback - much better than creating helpful content yourself…
@Wk_thirteenАй бұрын
@@johnywaIker I hear ya, what would I know about creating content. I’m only a multiple Emmy winner that’s worked on $200M features & Emmy winning TV shows for over 20 years. Also, sarcasm is my love language. Here, I’ll try it in a more helpful tone. Try to find the balance between being artistic with your video style, from shooting to editing, while keeping the function of what your video is supposed to teach. Don’t let the art take over the function, while also not letting the function suffocate the art. It’s ok to bring down the music level to demonstrate how acoustics of what you built sound. That was the entire point of the video, to hear how well your hard efforts worked. I honestly didn’t mean any harm with my comment, I was just frustrated. Cheers!

What's with these vocal booth videos where they blast music over top when they're inside the booth so you can't get any idea how it actually sounds? Lame.
