Mariah knows the important of back up vocals/choir. She was exposed in classical music since her mom is an opera singer. And she used to sing as back up. That's why she do so much adlibs in her works since then.

I love this video because people often compare her to other big belters, but they have no idea that even when not belting, what mariah is doing is far far far more difficult to do than just singing a long powerful note. @@Eddweddy Grammy performance 2006 is live, the fake mic feed was proven to be fake, besides you can hear the distortoon when the mic is overwhelmed in huge powerful notes. Plus the hands gives her away, when lipping she focuses more on her smile looks affecting the real mouth movements according to the note. Also he does sometimes not live vocals. He reviewed joy ride from the album. At the Grammy's you have experimented vocalists, producers, critics etc so they can recognize if someone is not live and guess what they did when she finished? They gave her the only standing ovation of the night and the other performs were Madrona and Kelly Clarkson. Also Randy Jackson who played bass in this performance said that instruments, choir and her were fully live. Stop stealing accomplishments just because unfounded comments and being used to mediocre artists.

I noticed you mention why you stop so much in multiple videos and I want to point something out. You stop ever 2 to 3 seconds and by doing so you tend to skip some amazing parts of the song. By stopping so much it also makes your videos extremely long. I like your analysis of her voice but for someone watching it could be frustrating seeing as tho we are reacting to you reacting to the performance. Btw I love your passion for technique.

I understand the sentiment. If I don't stop that often, then I have to cut parts of the performance out or I won't qualify for AdSense. Given that this is now my livelihood, it's not feasible at this time to accommodate folks who dislike the pausing. I appreciate you being respectful and I get the frustration. One possibility i've been thinking of is to cut up highlights for shorts, IG and Twitter.
