Wine is metaphorical here. As the song builds up, it talks about destitution and grief, be it materialistic or spiritualistic. Then it goes about how all peace and glory of world is contained in holy Medina. The filling up of chalices doesn't mean literal wine but rather getting all the matters resolved, getting rid of grief, and destitution (spiritualistic). As you might know, consumption of alcohol is forbidden in Islam. Here materialistic wine is compared to the spiritual bliss one gets by going to Medina.

bravo for putting it so aptly.

If I could dare to add to your comment, visiting Medina is portrayed as something like an ecstasy or euphoria that you normally get from intoxication, since intoxication is impermissible in Islam the metaphor of wine gives color to the experience of pilgrimage to the holy place.

@haider ali bahadur Urdu was made to be used as a disciple language that was polite and sweet. The loan words were taken from Turkish, Arabic and Farsi which was fused together and now we call it *Urdu*. While Punjabi has more then 20 different dialects. The main dialect is Majhi and It is broken down to Shahmuki or Gurumukhi. Gurmukhi using Sanskrit loanwords while Shahmuki using Urdu (Arabic, Turkish, Farsi) loanwords especially after 1837. 🤦‍♂️ Shahmuki Punjabi leans towards Urdu (arabic+turkish+persian=urdu) Gurmukhi Punjabi leans towards Hindi (sanskrit=hindi)
@yeahehtheseguyseh3703
@yeahehtheseguyseh3703 6 жыл бұрын
@haider ali bahadur Did Sanskrit come first or Punjabi? Sanskrit influence Punjabi. Punjabi was then influence by Persian. Then when Urdu took hold in the 13th century. Urdu influenced Punjabi. Hence I only used it as a reference instead of calling it Shahmukhi-Persian Punjabi. I simply said Urdu-Punjabi. Which seem to hurt you? 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ So either you can say Punjab is a bit influenced by Sanskrit/Hindi or by Persian/Urdu and when someone says Urdu (incorporating Arabic, Persian and Turkish) one shouldn't have an inferiority complex because that's what happened to Hindus when Urdu gained official status. 😁 Really not hard to understand buddy. No one is taking your Gurmukhi-(Sanskrit)Hindi Punjabi away from you though.

@@Shaadmood LMAO! Why so hyper aggressive? We both know that you watch too much Kpop. Just tell me if I'm wrong. You are addicted and that is not good. You need help. Just like every other person addicted to this cheap low lvl entertainment. Kpop is a cancerous industry. The less people watch it, the quicker it will die. You are probably too young for me to argue with you about this matter. Since most people who are addicted to kpop are young girls. And if you are older like 17-20 and still watching kpop, well then that is just sad and tragic. My advice is simple. Stop watching kpop and find other interests. I see that you watch anime. Maybe take more interest in that instead of Kpop.

This kind of music is called a Qawwali. They're often religious and speak of the Prophet (PBUH) and Allah (SWT). It's an Islamic tradition of the subcontinent. A kalaam is a declaration or message and some qawwals are rooted in kalaams by Muslim poets throughout South Asian history.

We are all the same. False borders and government propaganda has split up brother and sister from one another. We share the same culture, languages, history, and so forth. It's things like music that remind us of we are the same. It's time that we wake up and see that these governments only want to divide us and we should reunite through things such as music, history, and culture so hopefully one day we can be reunited as a people and as a mighty nation.

Sabri Brothers were legendary Qawaals, and Tajdar-e-Haram was one of their most famous qawaalis. The group consisted Ghulam Fareed Sabri and Maqbool Sabri as vocalists, along with their brothers on various instruments. They started before Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan started Qawaalis. The next generation of Sabri Brothers was lead by Ghulam Fareed's son Amjad Sabri. You should watch Amjad Sabri's performance with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (Nusrat's Successor) on Coke Studio known as Rang. The special thing about it is that it was first public appearance of Sabri Brothers and Nusrat or Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Although some say there was an unrecorded performance on Rang by Ghulam Fareed Sabri and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan at some shrine.

This was originally sung by “Sabri Brothers from Pakistan 🇵🇰 “ whose son was also a great Qawal “Late Amjad Sabri” ... you have reacted on his song “Aaj Rang Hai” already ... he was sadly mudered political This Song is total Praising of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) and refers Madina and Makkah both cities as reference ... 💖 🇵🇰 💖

At 4:30 you said about the using of nasal and sinuses. in classical music here (india) we are specifically taught and given notes to practice the sound to resonate sound from body cavities (very intricate details in classical music), sound resonating from abdomen , lung everything has a different characteristics and even sinuses, but nasal quality is specifically discouraged (nasal quality came to india with mainly himesh reshamiya, he used to sing with nasal quality and became a lot famous in 2000 and therefore after that a kot of nasal quality is included in bollywood but is highly discouraged in classical). Sustaining of vocal sounds for long time is practiced a lot by trainees , its also very important as it is included from the first lesson when you are taught classical music and sometimes the teacher wont teach you the next thing till you make the correct sound of Sa (Do/C) and other notes at 440Hz for a prolonged duration which shows the control over the voice.

So this song is actually a parise for Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H., the poet is actually asking for mercy and blessings. Similar as to Christians ask Jesus P.B.U.H. for help. Coke studio has captions for all its songs + behind the scene vedios. The type of music is called Qawali, Nusrat was one of the pioneers of modern Qawali. Backup singers with their claps and traditional instruments is from where you can know.

Just a clarification regarding your observation that Pakistani/Indian singers generally tend to lean toward more “pharyngeal vowel” sounds; it’s actually because Urdu/Hindi as languages have different vowel sounds, including pharyngeal. It’s usually the vowel sounds in verbs that are nasal vowels. Nasal vowels on verbs for example signify plural or the Royal Pronoun equivalent of verb- or the Royal Verb if you will. That’s just one example. There are other instances of pharyngeal vowels in these languages.

Atif Aslam ; My experience has taught me that training is not a compulsion. You don’t need to go from teacher to teacher to learn different music genres. Once you master your basics, you can easily pull of any song,” says Atif, He adds that he didn’t undergo formal training in music, and that’s exactly how he plans to groom the talent . But anyways, thanks for making this reactions video's on singer's you gave us some knowledge about it... we appreciate alot😉👍 And a small request too from us: you must make a Reaction video's on Arijit singh songs too😊😇

It was nice watching this video, would love to see you react on more of the coke studio’s tracks. Also, one thing you said about nasalised vowels, well I wouldn’t say it’s not true, it’s obviously there. But, it’s not a preference rather a requirement. Because there are some alphabets in Urdu language which are pronounced that way, it cannot come from mouth. The sound comes like a honk, like you said. So, it’s actually the way it is. I hope I am clear lol.
