It made me smile when you were analysing stuff at the beginning while she was singing low range and then you kept the hell quiet when she went off all powerful!

I always like to say Allie feels the music and in turn makes you feel it and this performance I believe shows that ! So much soul and feeling in this cover by Allie, you forget your watching a 16 year old singing and playing her guitar on the street ! Allie keeps amazing me, every time I think she can’t give me anymore in her performance she takes her performance up a notch to a new level ! Absolutely Beatiful !

spot on, mate. She makes me listening each and every time. She makes all the songs interesting no matter how often I've listened to them.

Great reaction but you really need to listen to Allie's current rendition of Adele's "Don't you remember"......one of her best in my humble opinion. She is accompanied by the drummer Julio, who is part of a trio that she sings with on her Saturday night gig's on Grafton Street, any tips she gets goes to the band. By the way, there is commonly 150 to 200 people there as she basically puts on a concert on the street.

Allie pinned all her cover as incredible, another fact was her latest "Don't you remember and Million years" by Adele at her age now she did it again in her another version. So captivating, soothing to watch over and over. I did it, I guess more than 10th and nt times. And with her emotions in the covers they sounds very emotional.

Another cover she pinned so good is Tennessy Whisky. Love to watch it over and over like her latest covers. She really becomes better and better.

Nice reaction. I had same reaction to this, a little much reverb at the beginning. Pretty good, not her best but finished strong. She just posted an amazing cover of Tennessee Whiskey which was near perfect with her own twist.

It,s good to get an informed opinion on the technicalities of Allies voice and performance,and its very interesting to have pointed out, that what most of us would have thought were idiosyncratic movements and quite natural are actually techniques to create various sound quality,s,having said that for me,having watched Allies development over several years, what Allie has is a great and natural musical gift that she has developed with the help of her dad,Mark,into something quite awesome and will become even more so as she matures.Cheers Mate.

Hi - you are clearly a great, well informed and articulate critic. Agree with Edna Bell - worth checking out Allie's lastest 'Don't You Remember' but I would also point you to Allie singing 'She' and 'Happier' as well as 'As the World Caves In' - this girl has star quality written all over her and has incredible versatility. One to watch and enjoy. By the way, if you haven't seen her sing 'Unchained Melody' with Cuan Durkin that's worth a watch too! Great critique though and I loved you enthusiastic assessment.

I'm ' hooked on Allie ' so anything she does is really enjoyable for me. Tennessee Whiskey is excellent. Amira Syahira is a drummer but occasionally you can find her singing. I think she has a really nice voice and delivery ( especially for a drummer! :-) ) If you find one of her later singing vids I would be interested to see what you think. Nice to hear reaction from a vocal coach particularly when the performer is doing their stuff without acoustically designed surroundings and mixing equipment. All the Dublin buskers never fail to delight. Thanks.

"The soulful centre of the song" very well said ... Allie makes her covers so interesting, if not captivating and contagious. I give her covers often more attention than I do with the originals ... Bohemian Rhapsody is an example ... where I'm on the fence with the original, great song but a bit much, if that makes sense, but Allie is simply beautiful... Much love to her.

Would love to see you react to the band Poets of the Fall and their song Carnival of Rust (their most well known song and the music video got voted as the best Finnish music video ever back in 2006 when the song was released). Truly an underrated band from here in Finland. Also a band with many different sounds all the way from slow melodic songs to full on rock. Although if you want to immediately hear a song that showcases how crazy good the lead singer Marko Saaresto's voice can be (and while his vocal range might not be the most dynamic out there he is an amazing example of what you can achieve by having absolutely perfect control of your vocals especially the raw emotion that his voice is able to convey) then i recommend listening to their song Daze. His vocals on the chorus are something out of this world. I just think that so many more people would love their music if they just ever heard them but since their from Finland it rarely happens. Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control. (Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it) also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D

She's got a great voice but theres a real lack of enunciation at times. She garbles her words and its a stylistic choice that doesn't work for her. I've noticed a lot of young artists use that style as a way of trying to communicate emotion when they're obviously not feeling it themselves. Unfortunately emotion is something you can't fake.
@harryfreeman84672 жыл бұрын
I felt the emotion in that performance, and I’m pretty sure from Ken’s response and reaction felt it too! Some folks don’t give Allie the credit she deserves ! Allie does something No One Else does, and when I say no one I mean no one ! Not top name artist entertainers, no one on KZbin, Instagram or TikToc ! Almost all of her solo performances are live in front of an audience, one take and that’s it no second shots! When your seeing an Allie Sherlock solo performance it’s just her amazing voice and her beautiful guitar playing, Allie’s pure talent ! No manipulating her performance like most do with musical or studio backing tracks to go with an artists vocal, no audio room to mix and do over dubbing,no Auto tune ! Why I think Allie is so popular, and Ken said it Allie gives you her heart and soul in her performances and that’s real and people feel it !
@josephjackson72692 жыл бұрын
Allie always gives 100%. She listens to words and sings because she loves since age 11. No fake crap here and coaches instructing studio singers what to do so audiences think their heart is broken. After 30 takes the mixer says I think we got it now on to the next 8 lyrics

Allie is a fantastic vocalist, and is an experienced busker, and though she does show many of her dynamics and techniques, I would say this is the worst Adele cover I have ever heard her do because of the song itself isn't very melodic or inspiring. There are many other Adele songs that she covers that are much better.

Nice commentary, too much yakkity yakking. Allie worth two million plus. Vocal coaches earn how much?
