ABOUT..
Rebecca is a passionate Singer-Songwriter/Vocal coach/mentor /impressionist/photographer/creative junkie /self- development lover not a hater.
“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel. “

❤️❤️❤️❤️ Dimash started music school at the age of 5 and continues to this day. Both of his parents are professional singers in Kazakhstan. Dimash is 23 yrs old and sings in up to 10 different languages (I’ve read different accounts) and plays multiple musical instruments. His mentors urged him to go into opera where he would have “a long and successful career”. But Dimash wanted to push the boundaries of his voice and see what else he is capable of. He calls his genre of singing neoclassical. When Dimash did this performance in China last year he was pretty much an unknown there. The morning after this performance his popularity skyrocketed to the point of hotel staff telling him to stay in his room due to the crowds of fans outside the hotel. He and his best friend went out anyway not really believing the staff. He needed to be accompanied by body guards! Dimash interacted with all the fans and commented that they are “so dear to me” ,..that stuck and he now calls his fans “Dears”. He is 6 foot 3 inches tall and I’ve come to believe that the 6 foot of that is all lungs. Thank you for your reaction! I’m subscribing to watch your journey through the world of Dimash. ❤️❤️❤️

This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode]. This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely. In the big lottery of the universe I didn't pull the right number I feel bad in my own skin. Fabulous reaction and assessment of Dimash performance, you have just begun an amazing love story in your life. Please do.more keep going, discover the depths and lengths of this young, now 23 yr old man. He has given me, age 63 yrs kidney cancer survivor, back the will to live and now I will travel nearly 10, 000 kms into China in May to see him. Thank you from the Dimash New Zealand Fan Club, Rae Ward.

Thank you Rebecca. I didn't expect that you will listen to my advise and react to Dimash that quickly. I told you it's totally worth it. That high head voice that he modulated 3 times was E6 I think (last note) Plz don't see other videos until you react. I like seeing authentic facial expressions. BTW thanks for the technical analysis, it's more interesting to hear technical comments rather than just an amateur reactor who gets his jaw dropped like us lol I'd suggest to react to opera 2, show must go on, adagio, all by myself, late autumn, unforgettable day. More to come lol

I have seen this name mentioned all over KZbin, and for some insane reason I haven`t heard him before now. OMG......I am so in love with his voice, spellbound for ever!! I had to come back to your reaction because I am saving it in a file called " Best Dimash reactions" ;-) Love from Norway

Wonderful reaction! I hope you'll react to more Dimash performances. Dimash Singer 2017 has many great performances, but I recommend watching Daybreak and Diva Dance in his Bastau concert. He had a throat problem and didn't sing Daybreak as he wanted in Singer, and he held back in Diva Dance as well. In the Bastau concert, he sang both of them beautifully!!!

I’ve noticed after watching dozens of “SOS” reaction videos that most of the time people only notice that high staccato notes the _second_ time. The first time, their brain is busy digesting all the notes he first climbed to get there. With a voice like Dimash, the song structure is perfect. We need to _hear_ that incredible ascent twice to take it all in. (He only did it once on _World’s Best,_ or they edited out the second one, I guess to give more time to annoying reactions from the judges. I enjoyed those performances, but they clearly didn’t get him the way _Singer_ did.)

When you know what the song's about, it becomes clear why Dimash sings it that way. S.O.S. of a Man in Distress "Starmania" (french rock opera). Music - Michel Berger, text - Luc Plamondon Why do I live, why do I die? Why do I live, why do I cry? Here is the SOS of a man in distress I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I don't fit into this skin I'd like to see the world turned upside down If ever it were beautiful It's lovelier from above, from above I've always confused life with the comic strips Even wished I could transform I feel something That draws me That draws me That draws me up Into the great lotto of the universe I don't have the right numbers I don't fit into this skin I don't want to be a robot Eating, working, sleeping Why do I live, why do I die Why do I live, why do I cry I think I'm catching waves From another world I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I'd like to see the world turned upside down I'd rather be a bird Sleep, child, sleep...

I appreciate your quick response to my request. Thank you for reaction. Can you please react more on Dimash? He has a lot of songs from Singer 2017. There were 13 episodes, he won this first one (SOS), the second one (OPERA 2) and the sixth episode (AdAGIO).

Not to mention the gala for charity performance. Hi, tungavidya! What was funny at the gala (when Dimash was placed on Han Hong's team (to their extreme pleasure) was each team and singer were given a pledge goal. Dimash had a goal (actually one of the lower ones) of 700K. When they announced that he'd met that goal, he hadn't even performed yet LOL...that was the "Give Me Love" performance :D
