That's honestly what makes his videos the best "voice person reacts" videos for me. He obviously is very passionate when it comes to singing and lets himself be amazed, while also explaining why exactly something is so amazing. Plus he sometimes just throws in the shit the people do in the video just like that (like imitating the sounds in this video, the thing with the larynx etc.) and most other react videos only explain it roughly.

Not going to lie, I binged on about 8 videos entitled "Voice Teacher reacts to Dimash", and this is clearly the most in depth and technical analysis/appreciation. You demonstrate the capacity to sing the piece in the same key, but you don't carry any of the snobbish, egotistical superiority of some. No need to subscribe to any others.

I hadn't I just watched her's though. It's a newer one, and I hadn't come across her channel yet. But, as with Sam, there's really good analysis, and genuine appreciation for the technique and performance. To be honest, her reaction says everything that goes through my mind as I listen to that performance. I'll check more of hers, as well. The other reaction I really appreciated was on a channel called Rebecca Vocal Athlete. You might check that one out, too.

Are we sure he's even really a human? His ability is mind blowing. So effortless and so humble. 👽? No but seriously, he is out of this world. Another video of Dimash a commenter asked for people to try and describe how his voice is so different as he is deaf and is fascinated by people's facial expressions and absolutely stunned everyone looks watching him sing. I wrote it's like hearing the entire ocean. Light and free as the waves when they crash on shore in the sunshine..to the deepest undiscovered depths. All at once. There we some excellent analogies.

Thank you, Sam, for a great reaction and analysis! I adore Dimash! Dimash Kudaibergen is 24 years old Kazakh singer known for his wide vocal range, encompassing 5 octaves, 4 tones and a half tone. His range reaches the bottom notes of the baritone register, all the way through to the highest soprano notes, and on to the whistle register. His lowest recorded note is F2, and his highest note recorded is D8. Although trained in classical singing and being invited to work at Astana Opera, Kudaibergen decided to carve out a career in contemporary music, incorporating classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. Dimash is also known for singing in multiple languages. To date, he has sung in Kazakh, Russian, English, Mandarin, French, Turkish, Ukrainian, Serbian, and Italian. He speaks Kazakh and Russian and studies English and Mandarin. He has named Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Lara Fabian, and Luciano Pavarotti as musical influences. Please, next Confessa + The Diva Dance (from a movie 5th Element. Please, more! Greetings from Croatia, Europe

No need to compare he is a piece of shit next to ariana or mariah all he ever did was sing songs on talent shows and never tried to actually craft his voice while mariah and ariana have songwriting and touring everyday. This guy has been trained his entire life and gets to prepare 1 month for every performance. He isnt an alien he is just overrated
@RoxyGotMoxy.
@RoxyGotMoxy. 3 жыл бұрын
@@gersi3047 if he is a piece of shit like you allege I'm curious why you're here. Also he's "never tried to craft his voice" but then also "has trained his entire life"? 🤔. There's an incongruence there. The breath control he has, emotion he expresses and the stage presence he cultivates is amazing. Also, songwriting and/or touring do not exclusively a singing talent define. Songwriting is a prelude to the performance and a useful skill to have, can even be a profession in its own right; touring and success is a resultant outcome of talent and/or being noticed/contacts but is not the be all and end all for some people. Rhianna is famous and tours but doesn't write her own songs, she has a team, but that's OK and doesnt exclude her from being a world-renowned musician. She can sing well, and has good stage presence and a marketable brand, so she is successful. Are other world-renowned singers who don't tour much any less talented in their singing capability than if they toured more? Of course not, that's like saying an artist whose paintings sold for millions only after they died were a shitty artist until then. The painting is still the same throughout. To decry it and the artist based on recognition at various times in their lives is just dismissive of and disingenuous to the talent. Furthermore I never said anything bad about Mariah Carey or Ariana Grande, they are both incredibly talented singers and accomplished women in the music industry, as a woman and a singer myself I admire them immensely. Praising the crazy impressive vocal range of a man, when men usually cannot reach such registers does not in any way make what they can do any less impressive in its own right. I could go on and on trying to change your mind but I get the impression that you're gonna hate on Dimash regardless of what I say and I have better things to do with my time. Let's just agree to disagree.
@estera4176
@estera4176 3 жыл бұрын
@@gersi3047 Ariana Grande? Are you seriously comparing him to her? She's great, but miles apart from Dimash. Mariah is more fit for a comparison. Also, you evaluate the quality of music by touring? Again, are you serious? For instance, classical singing is the most difficult, a pop singer is not better than a classical one just because they are on every radio. It's just the low standards of people who prefer easy catchy music instead of art (don't get me wrong, taste is taste, I listen to pop more than to opera too, but I can appreciate which one is superior). Then again, it seems that you don't know much about Dimash, he's done live events and concerts way more than studio singing, and he has covers, originals written by other composers, and songs written by himself too. At least open up his Wikipedia page to make an idea before saying such nonsense. He's got a lot of musical activity. The US music industry isn't everything. Show me another singer as versatile and complex as him. He has some songs that couldn't be sang by anyone else without considerable changes. You disrespect a world-class singer, possibly because you feel that your favourites are threatened by him. Someone better showing up doesn't take away anything from legends like Mariah, she's still Mariah. We evolve, music evolves and Dimash takes it to the next level, like it or not.

@@gersi3047 I guess it was too much to hope for to expect a reasoned, rational, nuanced response to my reply to your comment when I asked you to substantiate it. Did you even read and understand my reply? I think we're done here unless you have something more constructive and on-topic to contribute in reply than that apparently I must have no life, simply on the basis that I took a few moments to provide an in depth, cogent response to your comment that you seemingly don't have the knowledge or backbone to refute and so elected to delegate your response to throwing out meaningless tired idioms like a child. SOS is such a classical song in France. Balavoine is one of our best singer/composer. What's not to like? I still prefer the original version because I was raised with it and also because it's song full of melancholia. But Dimash has an extraordinary voice. Never heard something quite like it! He is breathtaking.

This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode]. This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Between his first performance ["S.O.S." in French] and his 2nd performance [Vita's "Opera 2" in Russian], he quickly won their hearts completely. Unlike most "vocal teacher reacts to.." that I know of, I REAAALLY LIKE how your reaction isn't just expressions to how incredible a singer is but Actually give us the technical explanation of WHY it is something special or amazing. I feel somewhat unfair that you don't have as much views and subscribers than many of the other channels that does the same thing but not as detailed as you. Probably most just want the expressions and not care about the technicality. Keep it up! We vocal students really appreciate all these explanations on top of your reaction.

Here’s a dimash performance in China that I bet nobody has watched or seen or reacted to unless you read Chinese. It’s hard for his American or Uk fans to access because the title is in Chines, but I figured it out and now you can watch the best Dimash performance ever. I’ve watched over 50 Dimash performances and I can tell you that this ranks ( with me) as his best. The outpouring of emotions is beyond amazing-not from this earth, not from this planet, not from this galaxy.. but somewhere celestial where the angels reside. Hello sam and first I would like to tahnks you for being the first vocal teacher that analyse this song to reconise my language, French. Bravo et merci :) now a little history : Starmania is a cyberpunk rock opera by Michel Berger on a libretto by Luc Plamondon. Created on April 10, 1979 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, the work has become, over the course of its productions and recordings, one of the most played shows and the arias, among the most famous in the French-speaking repertoire. This song (sung at the time by Daniel Balavoine) is taken from it. Daniel Balavoine was the original singer and Gregory Lemarchal was very known in france 'cause he won a song co !ntest with a severe lung hill, He passed away since. Now the "E.T" Dimash is taken this song perfectly in technical, and 90% in prononced words in french ;) Bonne écoute ! note !! yes sir a D Dimash - STRANGER new song is insane but if you wants a slap in face with a D8 note ! yes sir a D8 !!!! watch this song : UNFORGETTABLE DAY

Hey ! I like so much seeing people discovering him, especially people who knows what they talking about... That's really fun, everytime, and that's an interesting video, I hope you will do more of Dimash. 'Cause I have to say, I love this song (I'm French and I grew up with it, and Oh my... Dimash is just perfect on this one) but it's like an introduction of his voice, and technique, and everything about him. You saw like 10% of what he can do. One thing we all learn about Dimash, it's almost all the choices he does are artistic, and not by limits. (I'm not really sure he has limits x)) Like for the E6, he can reach it by attacking it directly, like in staccato... If you want to do more about him, the next episode on The Singer, (this one was the first) is Opera 2 and it's an incredible performance... kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5-unohnf5Wfb8k Thank's for your video, I really liked it, really interesting about the technique ! :D DKIFC/France

He will be competing on The World's Best, airing on CBS on Superbowl Sunday after the Superbowl. In order to advance in the competition against other elite acts from all over the world, he will have to impress 3 American judges (RuPaul, Faith Hill and Drew Barrymore) and 50 of the world's top experts in all genres of entertainment. The show will run for 10 episodes, and also air in Australia. Enjoy!

Edith Savoy thanks for the info but I’m hoping this is a joke! It’s a mad world we live in if the likes of Dimash get judged by the likes of Faith Hill. Crazy. Sigh.

@@prudyduffk9299 I was thinking that too. But it's no joke. Not just Faith Hill etc. but 50 international experts from all genres of entertainment so they should more than make up for the questionable choice of judges. One song by Dimash and he's taken over the US overnight if not sooner so I'm not worried about it. Then he will achieve world fame! Whoo-hoo!!!!! I can't wait for Dimashmania to hit the US! If he isn't viral now, HOLY COW!!! Poor KZbin will get inundated. Too bad we all couldn't buy stock in it, we'd all get rich.

I didn't knew this song before him, and he really sing it magnificently, and his French accent is pretty well (I'm not French but I speak it perfectly) This song is really sad, like he want to be a bird and see the world from up in the sky and he's asking if it is prettier from the sky "Si jamais c'était plus beau" He's really great, I'm sincerely impressed, I was really touched by his vocals and the meaning of the song, he really give life to this song, I really admire him. Thank you for reacting to this song, my mom really loved his way of singing and his emotions, thank you for describing us what he's doing and how, you're really good and easy to understand (for someone who doesn't understand English very well) Thank you so much, I hope you'll react to more BTS and EXO they are really great, I can recommend you some of them : - "The Truth Untold" BTS (Its the vocal line, but to be fair I'm gonna recommend the rap line as well which is magnificent) - "Outro: Tear" BTS (rap line) -"El Dorado" EXO -"Universe" EXO I hope you'll react to these songs and even more, thank you for your great work, you did well~

sakura heartfilia This song is a myth here in France. Everybody would agree that except for the original version by Daniel Balavoine, the best version is the one of Grégory Lemarchal as a French girl I just want people to know him when it come to this song, he was a young man of 22 years who won a very famous at the time reality TV singing contest where 12 candidat lived together for months and each weeks perform on stage and the judges and public votes etc you know the principe 😂😂 anyway he won in 2004, but sadly passed away in 2007 from the disease that he has, Cystic Fibrosis, I could talk for hours how he was a inspiration and still for many, never words sound so true and pure coming out of the mouth from someone who inside knew that he couldn't lived very long

I love your videos, not only do you give awesome explanations, But your super sweet reacting's to the singing is beautiful. When I watch and listen to singers this is how I act, I get so happy with how good the person is singing, and seeing someone else act this way is nice. :D

Dimash, 6 Octave Range, F2 to the infamous D8. He's been singing since he was 5, his mother is a soprano opera singer, and his father is a singer also. He was 22 when he sang this song, and he's now 28. He's trained extensively in pop and opera. His range is basically from low Baritone (a bit of bass, tenor, and through the soprano ranges). The scary thing is he's even gotten better (which is hard to believe). He plays 8 instruments and sings in 12 languages. Although confident in his music, he's also very humble.
