Aurora is loved by metal fans and she loves metal herself. There is a natural connection. This is not least due to her personality and what she stands for. She also has elements of metal in some songs. She writes her songs from the heart and lives through her heart. She is someone who tackles, takes things into her own hands. She is a creator. She radiates inner peace. I think it also brings out longings from us metalheads. She can party and have fun. I think these are all overlaps. And it is very important that she has always been and has remained down-to-earth from the beginning. She goes her way incessantly. Where do you see something like this in the pop genre these days? Rarely. I would say Aurora is unique.

Aurora is one of those musicians whose entire being seems to made up by the fabric of music. It's as if, if the music were to fade away, they too would fade. The thing that really seems to set Aurora apart is how theatrical she is. She does not sing a song, she acts it, with every tweak or tinge of her voice, and her eyes and mouth shapes even, which ironically is something that you can hear. Even on her upbeat songs where she is jumping up and down she never seems to lose breath, or the story of the song.

First time I have ever seen her Live, Soul with no King is awesome, Invisible Wounds is my favorite, she did that solo as the last song, when she came out to bow and leave I thought the Foot pounding and Roar would collapse the Building lol, Aurora isn't unknown in the US anymore^^ This Tour has been very strong for her.

There is a remarkable live version of A different kind of human recorded during this same session. Silja, The other female vocals in this song had just lost her mother a few days earlier and a different kind of human just hit the feels knowing that. Silja's backup vocals in many of Aurora's songs are just beautiful. The term Backup singer just doesn't give her enough credit. Its like a lead guitarist calling the bass a backup. I love both their voices so much and i think Silja Sol's vocals were so perfectly complimentary. She always matched note for note where she needed to be. Its like she was in Aurora's head at times.

I'm slightly convinced that the 'hook' about her voice that gets most of us is how youthful she sounds. I'm also very convinced that when adults listen to children, we're pretty sure they're about to take us on some sort of mental journey. Combine both of those with very intimate and personal lyrics she's quite consistent with, I feel like she's singing from the perspective of a younger sister that's just really good at expressing her feelings. There is no barrier she's breaking. She just gets in the first time you hear her and she's there forever. It'd be scary if it weren't so lovely.

When a top expert like you says she's in love with Aurora, it means a lot! The video for this song is also in a retro style, it's like the 1930s. I think that these stylistic treatments with vocals are a conscious direction - you know, these melodies, harmonies, chords, gliding. There are a few such retro flavors on the last album, but there are also interesting interpretations of the 80s and synthwave, and of course a lot of alternative and art pop. BTW, I saw her live. So good 😊 Aurora’s - Through the eyes of a child, live in Nidarosdomen ( a cathedral in Norway), is very worth a watch. Absolutely gorgeous.

I came for the rock analysis, but so grateful you analyzed this artist. I am now FULLY obsessed and watched your other Aurora videos multiple times. I find it unfortunate this video doesn't have more likes. Please, more Aurora!

The one word that comes to mind when describing Aurora is elegant.

Yes, she is elegant in the same way as a little girl. There is no assumed consciousness in the movements. Only feelings expressed with natural and spontaneous grace and playful sincerity

I recommend checking out one of her performances of "All Is Soft Inside" as I feel it shows off a lot of different aspects of her voice.

@@tx0hThat's actually not my favorite performance. I prefer the Verftet Online Music Festival 2020 or the Somewhere Else Festival performance.

This is my favorite song and performance from her. She is an actual angel

I would love to see your reaction to Through the Eyes of A Child by her. She's obviously an incredible singer and person but her song writing is top tier. The connection she makes with your heart and soul through her music is such a beautiful experience. It's almost like a lot of her lyrics have been on my mind for decades yet I never knew how to say them or express them. She's just incredible at filling up your heart with pure emotion.

Aurora is unique in todays music. A truly well rounded musician. Writing the lyrics and composition, co-producing her music, co-directing her videos, currently playing at least 4 instruments and lets not forget that voice. I listen to music all day every day, from the great composers, through 70's prog, metal, art rock, jazz, blues and anything new that's not just a product of the industry at large. I believe Aurora is the best artist writing, producing and performing at the moment. Her ability to convey complex ideas in simple verse, as only a true poet can, and her ability to express so much emotion as she performs is unequaled at this time.

I saw her in concert in March and I have never seen so many people in stationary awe in my life. She is my favourite artists to see live and she made me cry 3 times. Also, before the concert I just randomly walked past her on the street and I about died when she smiled at me.
