I genuinely adore your reaction and breakdown to Avenged Sevenfold / your overall outlook on Metal as a whole ! Time after time i've seen and read so many ignorant comments about how Metal has no substance, meaning, depth and it's all "screaming without substance" and it's a breath of fresh air seeing the opposite of that because it's exactly that / what you have said in general ! Bands like A7X, Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon etc, all stellar showcases of powerhouse vocals and the range of depth, specially Corey Taylor of Slipknot, from say his other band Stone Sour, the contrast in the growls to clean vocals is just droppingly nuanced and diverse ! I'd definitely recommend Gunslinger, Seize the Day, Afterlife(Full Studio Version), Bat Country, Beast and the Harlot, Nightmare, Far Away, Fiction, just some of the songs that display's Matt's vocal range !

I used to frequently drive around with this album (mainly this song) on full blast, on post, with my windows down, and my subwoofer all the way up, and I would get the weirdest looks. Sometimes people would look over and give me the devil horns/rocker sign, and then hear the lyrics and go "wait what" and their hand would slowly and limply fall away like "what did I just salute this guy for? Oh no". My friends knew, if they got into my car and this album wasn't playing, I was probably not having a good day.

Definitely react to the live performance(live in lbc) of this song(or others), matt's vocals is extraordinary live. Or you could watch their documentary of the making of this album/song, each members are all very musically talented Ps the 2 vocals are the from the main vocalist and the drummer. Yes the drummer, you should hear them live.

- Rebecca: Oww, what's happening now? That's Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, the drummer, and one of the most amazing vocals who walked this earth.

Last Halloween they did a very indepth breakdown of the song. It's very interesting to hear them talk about a song they wrote so many years ago. Definitely worth a watch.

Where can I watch it? Is it on YT?

Yeah. Just type in Avenged Sevenfold A Little Piece of Heaven breakdown. There's a whole series of songs they did

I've seen these guys live and it is really every bit as good as it sounds on a studio track and the performance itself is quite theatrical.

Should definitely check out Avenged Sevenfolds live version of Buried Alive 😀

The Rock Am Ring 2011 or Rock in Rio 2013 versions, though. Any later and it doesn't sound as powerful.

Melodic is why I LOVE IT SO MUCH. But also, I Love Avenged Sevenfold.. I understand their style. This song has always been a favorite of mine for the switches, and melody. ❤️ story brings any single character when there is more than chorus and bridges

THANK YOU SO MUCH for breaking the actual music down and how amazing this sounds! Most reactors are all put off by the music video itself! This song was brilliantly done! The different instruments, the melody, all wonderful!

You should hear the song live in concert but with the rev passing away his vocals are still there but it's not live vocals on his parts anymore obviously but the song is still badass live. Whenever they get to play live shows again you should go see them live

Great reaction and thank you for doing this as I forgot about this masterpiece of a song. You should do Warmness on the Soul next

The lead singer does most of the deep parts and the lighter chorus. The alternate voice (scary parts) is the drummer. Vocally their live performances are very close to recordings as they really utilize their unique vocal structure as accentuated in this piece.

I saw a7x back on 2014 when Mayhem Feast was still going. They're set was the best I saw that day. I was a bit disappointed when they ended they're show because they didn't play this song. So I started a "one more song" chant in the lawn section of the amphitheater and pretty soon the whole crowd was chanting along. They came back out and played they're hearts out for this song. I was a happy lad afterwards.

Its a dark song but it's damn pretty good and melodious. And thanks for the reactions

A7X considered this song as their "Bohemian Rhapsody" and a masterpiece. Their drummer, Jimmy Sullivan wrote and arranged this song. It's the only song that featured Jimmy singing as well. If I am not remember it wrong, the band wanted to put Danny Elfman's vibe and even hired an orchestra band that had worked with Danny Elfman.

Absolutely my favorite reaction to this song, and I've seen a bunch!! Awesome job not taking the song so seriously and not just paying attention to the lyrics. Super glad I found this reaction (definitely not my first reaction I've watched of yours) won't be the last of course :p Thank you!!
