No she is not. She is only riffing in whistle and singing in falsetto in the background. Actual diction in falsetto is really difficult not every whistler can sing actual words, Ariana herself has said that she can't do it and that she isn't proficient enough in her whistle so that's why live she skips it many times because not knowing how to properly control it can be very hurtful, check out Mariah Carey Never too far/Hero live performance 2000 or Mariah Carey Oh Santa! live 2019 Late late show, Mariah Carey singing We belong together chorus in whistle 2020 or Minnie Rippertone Loving you live. That's how diction in whistle sounds like.

It’s incredible that Mariah and Ari sang the whistle notes together, but (and I’m pretty sure she’s able to) they should’ve included Jennifer in that moment. I mean, I feel like she generally doesn’t have enough vocal impact or screen time like the other women, but that addition would’ve taken the cake’s cake (as opposed to the whistle that already does take the cake, if that makes sense. Years ago, I heard a Brazilian female duo singing with a church choir and at the end of the song one of the best "contraltos" of the country (her name is Janeh Magalhães) made whistle notes with the soprano singer (her name is Cristiane Carvalho) in harmony. That was the first time I heard that type of harmony. The name of the song was Eterno Amor. But I have heard other secular female singers such as Lalah Hathaway and a Brazilian girl named Georgia Brown (if I am not mistaken) doing polyphonic harmony.

Fun facts for anyone who wants them: This was on her 2010 album ‘Merry Christmas || you. It’s not from 2020, Ari and Jhud were added on! Also Mariah’s kids, Moroccan and Monroe (twins) are featured in the music video! Also obviously the Lambs and Arianitors created some sort of “beef” between the girls for some reason and now this has proved that they are friends.
