I am the honest vocal coach! I have been teaching for 15 years and been singing since I was 16. I teach from my own studio and also teach and mentor via email, and online via Live & Skype. I specialise in teaching children, and teenagers pop and musical theatre but I am trained in all genres of music. I love Taylor and she’s one of my favorite songwriters but she just isn’t the most consistent live vocalist. That doesn’t take away from her talent though, it’s difficult having to sing back to back shows in the way that she does

@@juandediosmartinrodriguez6277 You could've commented Jennifer Hudson instead of Demi lol No one overrates Taylor's voice, she in 2017 improved and became a vocalist, but nothing comparable to beyoncé or Adele. But now Demi Lovato is a vocalist, she sings well in a higher range with high notes, her low notes are really flat and not that good...and there's no problem with it, because the general public doesn't care about low notes actually. That's why always doubt about the vocal skill of artists with low register (but strangely only if it deals to female artists)

I feel like this list is incredibly outdated. She’s had some amazing vocals in more recent years especially the last two tours. This last tour I remarked at how well she’s gotten vocally live. She used to struggle a lot more and now she even sings well through a full choreographed two hour set.

She is a superb musician, a fantastic songwriter with a knockout sense of melody. I love the character of her voice.. and I really like her no nonsense delivery, - kind of like a rock singer. Some of her best performances are when she rocks it up - like Holy Ground, or We Are Never Getting Back Together on the 1989 world Tour. As a rock guitarist myself I really like that.

I think the reason people don’t think Taylor Swift is a good vocalist is for *ONE* reason. The media thinks that a good vocalist is a strong belter, like Demi Lovato, Beyoncé or Lady Gaga. They also think it’s if you can sing really high like Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey and others. But being a good vocalist is many others things.

I'm not a Taylor fan at all and she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket when I first saw her. Case in point view live with Stevie Nicks but she has done the right thing and sought out a really good vocal teacher.

Sure, one bad night means she can't sing. There are some songs I don't like; but it is not because of her voice. She actually started voice lessons at @9 years old; I think she stopped when she went to middle school; and at 12 switched her attention to songwriting. She started vocal conditioning and training again for the Fearlesstour iirc , because she didn't have sufficient stamina for multiple nights in a row. When did you first see her? When she was Garth Brooks' or Tim McGraw's opening act when she was 16 (2006) ? At a concert? or on that particular award show?
