Every single person who sang in this episode has either been on Broadway or Glee (or both.) The choreographer is the same from Glee. Darren, Carlos, and the songwriters from the last song went to college together. Grant went to college with Chris Wood (who is in the ep, but didn’t sing.) So many reunions!

John Barrowman, aside from being involved in the Arrowverse, and Doctor Who, also has several musical credits to him including Raoul in Phantom, The Beast / Prince in Beauty And The Beast, Billy in Anything Goes, and the list goes on. He also had one of his few film roles in the movie musical, "The Producers" in a bit (but amazing) part as the Lead Stormtrooper, in "Springtime For Hitler" Victor Garber, the guy that you said was struggling a bit (I think just doesn't fit the song here) also has several roles both On and Off Broadway, including Applegate in the 1994 revival of Damn Yankees, Jesus In Godspell (Starting in 72 off-broadway, and reprising the role in the 1973 film), as well as originating the roles of Anthony and John Wilkes Booth for Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Assassins, respectively.

I found out he could sing because of a Brit reality show "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria" when Lloyd Webber was preparing a revival of "The Sound of Music." John was a judge, as I recall. On an early episode he sang and my daughters and I were floored - we were watching because Captain Jack. 🤷‍♀️

John Barrowman (the other man) is from Glasgow. Born n in Glasgow but moved to USA when he was about 8 yrs. old. He has many CD's and video's of his concerts out there. Royal Albert Hall to name just one. He had his own Variety Show in England. He is a wonderful actor too. He has been in a few movies and he was in the "Arrow" I met him some years back at the Cleveland, Ohio Comic Con. He was the personable man I have met. He did not rush anyone. He was kind, considerate and I got a couple of hugs from him.He also sang that day and sang so great. Truly talented and just a nice man. You should look up his songs and listen to them. He has a great Christmas CD. He has worked very hard at what he does yet he is not full of himself at all. If you read anything bad from a long time ago that has paid the price and that is not the man he truly is. Also on Dr. Who and Torchwood. I just wish him the best in everything. Truly Love this Man.

Victor Garber is a four-time Tony nominee, including twice for best lead actor in a musical (as the lead in Little Me and Damn Yankees). He also has done a lot of Sondheim productions, including originating the roles of Anthony in Sweeney Todd and Booth in Assassins (listen to the original recordings of Johanna or Ballad of Booth to hear how amazing his voice can be). I’ve seen him play Friedrich in Little Night Music at the LA Opera and Ben Stone in Follies at NY City Center Encores, and he was great in both productions.

@@jeanliles1218 Nope. He started as a folk singer as a teen in Canada. Then he was cast as Jesus in the legendary Toronto production of Godspell (with Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Andrea Martin, and Gilda Radner). That led to him playing the role in the Godspell film.

As a Musical Theater Geek getting to hear these three sing this song together, blew me away and was a very special moment!

As a vocal coach, not knowing these three is rather questionable. I love this version as it is touching and beautiful in the context of the show. Want to critique singers? One should actually look up the actual singer(s) and their previous work rather than looking uninformed. She probably thought Ye (Kanye West) gave Paul McCartney a huge career boost.

Sad this "vocal coach" does not recognize these people. Might want to open her horizons. These three brought a perhaps forgotten song, put their own spin on it, and made it now popular again. Lovely rendition and believable in the context of the show. That is what made it worth listening to time and time again-the warmth and love it conveyed.

John Barrowman is such a lovely person. I've met him a few times at conventions and one he hopped on his signing table and started singing (can't for the life of me remember what song it was). Probably one of my favorite song performances of his was from the movie De-Lovely (the Cole Porter story) where he sings Night and Day.

They did all three of these men a disservice by recording them the way they did. They weren't recorded in a single studio - Victor Garber admitted at a con a few years back that they recorded separately and the tracks were edited together later. Plus, Victor's vocal strengths are definitely not shown here. The man is a Broadway legend of sorts, and he gets shafted with easily the *worst* song in the episode.

This song means alot to me😭❤ reminds me of my dear grandfather😭😭😭😭😭❤ he passed away in 2012 after some weeks of lung imflamation and old age. He ment alot to me😭❤ he was like a loving caring guiding father figure for me and my grandfather at the same time. He raised me alot in my life when i visited him when my parents had jobs and my older sisters in school. I loved all three... Victor's voice has aged but I liked he and Jesse together.... I adore John Barrowman and have several of his albums. He was in Sunset Boulevard and several other things I just feel the music director didn't blend him in well enough. I feel Johns used to being a power house and I would have loved him to have been more gentle in the trio, Jesse and Victor had I guess that advantage of hearing one another and working with their duet... But the trio has always jarred me a bit. That being said I adore all three men

That you are spacing on John Barrowman is astounding to me. But, given that most of his musical credits are in London productions of musicals like Phantom, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, etc. that can be forgiven. :) He did two musical movies...but small parts in them. He was the Tenor Stormtrooper in the movie version of Mel Brooks's 'The Producers' and sang lead on "Springtime For Hitler" (hysterically funny!!!) and sang the very range-y "Night And Day" by Cole Porter in the biopic 'De-Lovely' with Kevin Kline as Cole Porter. He really became big with the re-boot of 'Doctor Who' in 2005, so much that he was the lead of a spin-off called 'Torchwood'...and he cut a self-titled album that included a tribute to 'Doctor Who' and his role as Captain Jack Harkness...a time-traveling omnisexual soldier and gad-about called 'The Doctor and I' changing the lyrics to 'The Wizard and I' by Stephen Schwartz from 'Wicked'.
