This is from the series finale of Glee. Our own Darren Criss wrote and has played this song for her many times live in concert. She said that he sent it to her and she listened to it and knew that that was the last song she would sing on Glee. It's one of her best songs ❤️

It's my favourite solo by her, and I would even say it's the best one! This song it's everything, is a beautiful summary of the entire journey that Rachel has been through, I've cried listeing to this first time because I had that feeling that's the end of the show that I love so much. I really wish in the show they would have written in a story line that blain wrote this song, and showed it to Rachel. I understand she had to perform it herself, but maybe we could of seen flashbacks of them rehearsing it before the auditorium scene. The writers and people who choose the songs for episodes gave lea freedom to choose her last solo as Rachel and she was having a hard time picking a perfect one and. She talked to Darren chris and he said he has written this song she listened to it and fell.in love with it and thats how lea /rachel found her last solo on glee because Darren wrote it for her.

This is from the series finale and the lyrics are perfection for wrapping up the storyline. I'm not usually the biggest Darren fan, but he did a stellar job writing this song. Darren will say in interviews he is not just an Emmy winner but also an Emmy loser. He won for ACS: Versace and lost in the song category for this…Season 6. It was the show’s only Emmy nom that year. I actually like the other song he wrote that season a little more but it is kind of my security blanket to rescue my feelings from THE WORST PLOT DEVICE EVER and STUPIDEST WAY THE WRITERS EVER BROUGHT MORE MEMBERS TO THE NEW DIRECTIONS.
