Her agility and precision in those melismas make me shake my head in amazement every time I listen to this performance _(and it's been a fair few times the last couple of weeks)._ She seems to be capable of doing what ever she wants without hesitation. She's got such confidence and seems to be so relaxed; it looks like she's just there to enjoy the moment, and she shines like a star in the midnight sky, without asking how or why.

View then you've already lost the best of any vocal. Enjoy the music. Don't be an arse and try to analyse it. Just as she doesn't. You may have noticed I liked the vid. Then you may understand why Angelina has so many fans who have her as their nr. 1 singer. We know there are many, many, many great singers out there, but there is just one Angelina voice out there. Every time there is a new video out, she deliver more than we think she could do ( we should know now after some 120 melodys and covers that she has full control all the time), and she add her own touch to everything she want to sing. She is FANTASTIC!!!

History was made. If anyone's brave enough to do this song, in her rendition of the song & they'll be compared to her, for it's her song now. Think of it , she took a iconic classic rock opera & stripped it down & turned it into a jazzy/bluesy soulful ballad at age 13. Please support her music, CD's, iTunes, ect.. Put her on your playlist.... So many (even Disney) producers have been trying to get her to sign with them. Her & her mom just tell them no, (she wants to finish school 1st). They would just ruin her & spit her out once they made their money off of her. Her family is very protective of her, they even formed a production co. for her (Angelina Jordan inc.) She's a talent that comes by once in a lifetime maybe once every hundred years. Angie is music. She can do any genre & sound better than most originals & she's still very young too. She’s 14 as of 1-10-20. She made her outfit using the pattern of an artwork, from her grandmother's She makes several of her outfits too. A God given voice & talent. What amazing timbre, tone, texture, vibrato & amazing rare skill of tremolo & the pitch perfect skill also ect ect.. She's very sweet, humble, giving & loving in real life too. She rearranges & composes her songs while still being respectful to the original. She has written 3-4 songs plays 4-5 instruments, speaks 3-4 languages et, etc.. .English isn’t her 1st language, it’s her 3rd. I don't think I've ever seen a video where you wasn't able to pause and explain. I honestly think this performance is perfection. There isn't a single thing that could have been done better. I LOVE that she didn't go on a 'Got talent' belting session. She gave that one note and kept the rest understated, relaxed and Angelina Jordany. Finally! I have been wanting to hear your thoughts on Angelina for so long! I have left so many requests for Angelina over the last year. Thank you for finally reacting to her!! Angelina is my favorite vocalist, and I probably don't need to explain why to someone like you. I really like some of the things you said... you really nailed it! I have seen people comment that she needs to enunciate more, and I think No! Angelina's soft pronunciations make her one of the most natural sounding singers I have ever heard. @@stillracer2514 Not sure of Rusty's thoughts, but I liked it. The first time I listened I was like, "Ehh.. it's OK, but it's not Angelina." Each time I listened to it after that, (and there have been many) I like it more and more. There is no reason for Angelina to limit herself to one style of song or genre, aftrall, she's only 14. Spread your wings and explore!! Not everyone will love everything.

Your reaction video didn't show the Judges' reaction to the performance but I feel quite certain that you know Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer for Angelina's performance. My normal comments when I first subscribe to a Reactor featuring Angelina for the first time is to congratulate them on discovering her. However, it is obvious from your remarks that you have been aware of her for some time, which begs the question "Why haven't you reacted to her before?" In my opinion, she is the most versatile singer living today and I hope that you will continue to react to her. I have listened to everything she has published on KZbin and have often been surprised at her versatility - she can sing Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, and Rock - but never disappointed by her performance. For me, listening to Angelina perform is an emotional experience in itself. In an imaginative moment I likened her to a chameleon, inasmuch as a chameleon adapts its colour to blend with the surroundings, so Angelina adapts the "colour" of her voice to convey the emotions of the song and communicate those emotions to the listener. In the six years she has been singing publicly she has covered Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Priestly, Louis Armstrong and many others. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. In life she is a very shy and humble girl. On stage she is transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing. Beth, thank you for your very insightful reaction to this Angelina Jordan performance. It is obvious that you are a true professional who understands the technical and artistic aspects of vocal music. After 40+ years as a music educator and jazz musician, I would say to all young singers: Don’t try to sing like Angelina, especially in the highest register, until you know how to do it. Take voice lessons and learn everything you can about vocal technique and artistic styling. If you try to do what she does before you know what you are doing, you could severely damage your voice and may never be able to sing again. Angelina has a gift that very, very few people in history have ever had. All of her physical vocal abilities and sense of musical style came with her at birth and because her family played music all the time as she was growing up. She is a force of nature. You can aspire to sing like her, but don’t push it. We would like to see and hear you on KZbin someday!

I find it difficult to understand how nearly all reactors only comment on the technicalities, and completely ignore the gut wrenching emotion displayed in this performance. @Ellen Hulslander Angelina speaks English flawlessly without accent. What you are referring to as pronunciation issues are conscious choices made by Angelina to add emotion, texture and the jazzy style so prominent in many of her songs. Listen to her sing "gawn", instead of "gone" on "Ain't No Sunshine". Listen to the vocal fry which distorts "without" on "It's a Man's World". Listen when she sings "don't put me DOWN-UN" on "I Put a Spell On You". These are a few examples of the genius that make this prodigy sound so unique.

103mrg you do need a vocal coach to point out what a song including emotion means to you! I’m sure you’ve had a vocal coach teach you tear up when a meaningful song is sung. Was waiting for you to react to this and since then she has teamed up with a duo from Norway called trxd .they hired Angelina Jordan to do the vocals on a song called Above the water. That is totally diffrent from What you have heard before and many of her fans got suprised when she did it but she doing amazing job on a new music genre for Angelina Jordan.

Congratulations....beautiful reaction !!! I've been a musician for 43 years. The first time I saw Angelina years ago, I immediately saw that there was a singer unlike anything I had ever seen. For many reasons .... 1 Angelina has a unique voice texture. 2 Angelina was born with something that many mature singers would like to have, but cannot ... the emotion that she can convey when she sings. 3 Angelina is very young, but her behavior is that of a real lady. 4 Her image is very pleasant and moves everyone. Summing up... There are many words to define Angelina ... But in my humble opinion ... it only takes a single word to define Angelina Jordan ... GENIUS !!!

I have watched many vocal coaches doing reviews her and they have explained so many things that she is doing , yet there are STILL more things they can't explain or don't have time to. She learns so much from so many artists and mixes them without having to think about it. When her inspiration wants a sound, she just has it. I think there is NOTHING she can't do.

I recently can't across her concert with Alan Walker and the two songs she sings in the video are as perfect a presentation as I've ever seen during a live concert. Everything, orchestra, arrangement, sound quality and, of course, her singing. Absolute perfection!

I have to say that as taken as i am with Angelina Jordan, Beth Roar is pretty special herself. I find her accent so attractive for one thing and her fine appreciation and description of the various singing devices used by Angelina is very insightful.

I have much respect for your analysis, I would love to do more Angelina, especially her age 12 How Great Thou Art where she sings almost the entire song in Elvis's original key! It is so interesting how she can comfortably sing at that low range at such a young age! It certainly helps explain why she can add so much warmth and weight to her singing!
