Angelina keeps her songs so simple in terms of the basics yet there is so much complexity, depth and nuance under the covers. Still can't get enough.

ANGELina's an amazing talent! Thank you for taking time to watch and react :* How priviliged are we to be able to watch such a talent grow up and evolve right infront of us? She wrote this for her grandfather(s), and she's said it's dedicated to all of those who's lost loved ones. Pure healing

So great to see Angelina sing live again, especially with this healing song in troubled times. The artwork she and grandma did for the original release was awesome, but this magnificent video is epic! I think this will rival her other B&W from years past. I'm so happy for her successes all these years, and I think she has found a great home at Republic for her talent. Her uncle Michael deserves a lot of credit too, and of course her mother Sara for her protection and sharing her with the world. One day I'll get my greatest wish, to see her sing in person. Angie’s fans will treasure this performance forever. And to Angelina I say, thank you so, so much for all the wonderful music you have given all of us over the years, and for your humanity for others less fortunate. It’s not just your voice Angelina, you yourself truly are the “gift from the universe.”

thanks for the reaction! Angelina has always been unique and now that she's becoming a young lady (she'll be fifteen this week) we can only gasp and be in awe of her amazing voice, timing, emotion, in all her originals and covers. Particularly this one which she wrote herself and dedicated to her late grandpa and all those who have lost loved ones. A voice and a heart of gold!!! This Sunday, January 10th is Angelina's 15th birthday. I encourage all who haven't subscribed to her channel to do so! That would be a great gift for her :) Angelina Jordan Official Channel 💕

I enjoyed your review. Angelina wrote this song herself, lyrics and I think the music too. She said that she wrote it in memory of her grandfather who recently died and also for anyone who has lost someone. This is her first track recorded by Republic Records who she recently signed with. Angelina's 15th birthday is on the 10th January.

She finally sounds like she is a grown up. She used to sound like a child that is imitating grown up singers but now she probably has found a producer that tells her to tone it down. Now she sings to let the song shine instead of using the song to make herself shine.

Another thing she's always been good at, is the pronounciation. When i took singing classes myself, the first thing he said was (my teacher was american, in Norway) and he told me to sing on Norwegian, if the english wasn't good enough. He even slammed established and famous Norwegian artists, singing in English. After he told me that, i started to hear it too. Never thought about it before. A lot of us, non-native in English, have an accent, or have words that, for someone native in English, sounds wrong, or... it could be much better, with better English, and he's right. Angelina is, from what i can hear, really good. At least, way better - and its easy to hear - than most Norwegians singing in English. So working on pronounce words correct is gonna help you. And yes...Angelina deserves to be more...public. She is actually quite huge. Singing around the world, but on jazz-scenes, singing Sinatra and Amy Winehouse. On that note; I wish Amy Winehouse was still alive..and could do a duet with Angelina Jordan.. That would be amazing! Angelina does Amy's songs so well!

Very thank you for reacting so well to the first time to this original Angelina's song. Seeing her sing after one year of the last public performance in the AGTC, in this beautiful B / W video is absolutely wonderful, seeing her now interpret her song with such passion, making subtle changes after a just one month after her first release with the first lyrics version is absolutely fantastic, it makes you listen, in full admiration for its evolution, as a person and as a singer, and it is impossible to break away from it. This is a very sweet and very intense song dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather and to all the people who have lost someone, but it is also a song full of hope and with beautiful lyrics. 😊❤️ Angelina is not only what you saw in this original song, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals. 🤗 ❤️ Please see the her first 4 public performances of Norway's Got Talent in 2014, those performances made during a few months are the her first public appearances, but you can already see what her was capable of and how her skills had improved in that limited period of time. This amazing young lady said, and I paraphrase her here "that without Billie Holiday, there would be no Angelina Jordan". I bring it up because part of her genius is and was at a very young age, her ability to pick up the subtle vocal techniques from GREAT jazz artists from decades ago and incorporate those styles and techniques to make them part of her repertoire. Genius on many levels but genius ears is part of the mix. Great reaction !
@bartonbagnes46053 жыл бұрын
I think she did the artwork for the official lyrics video as well, or at least it was based off her artwork or her grandmother's. Yes she puts so much emotion in her voice she makes you feel how she feels.. David Draiman does the same thing, check out "Hold On To Memories" by Disturbed. From videos of her when she was younger it's clear she grew up listening to old vinyls, probably with her grandfather, and she probably learned to sing by immatating them. Making an old style new again. She is still really young, only about 15 years old. So she should have a long career ahead of her.

Yes, I have about 100 or more of her songs I would love you to hear. Since you've mostly seen the very young Angelina, I recommend you check out her more recent performances. Million Miles is her 4th original, but the 1st released under her new record label at 14. Her performances on AGT-Champions are also amazing & she was 13 at the time of recording (Oct 2019). Her ability to transform old classic songs into her "originals" is mind blowing. You should hear/see what she did with Queen's iconic rock opera, Bohemian Rhapsody. She transformed it into an acoustic jazz ballad & Queen was blown away by it. Please take a listen. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mp_KqIlmgtGFfac I've subscribed with the hope you will continue to react to Angelina. She is the most amazing vocal artist I've seen in my long life!

I believe that she began writing this song shortly after her maternal grandfather died a couple of years ago, but she didn't bring it to fruition until she teamed up with Stargate Music, an LA-based production team of two Norwegians. She has written that when she sang the finished product in their studio the tears were streaming down her face.

I am not so sure that you got it right in which order Angelina's career developed. "...way before she went on TV....". Well, she started her career on TV - Norway Got Talent (NGT) when she was 7... and won that one. Since then she has appeared on TV all over the world from Singapor, Japan and South-Korea to Germany, UK, USA Brazil and so on in a long row until AGT-C 2020 in USA. Hence she has been on TV all the time and all the way. Anyhow that girl can sing....

thanks very much for your detailed reaction to Angelina. She is one of a kind and I am anticpating her new album. There are 3 songs in particular that I think are outstanding since she changed them to the intrinsic meaning of the song. That are Wicked game, California dreaming and Wake me up, but I havent checked if you already did some of them. There is also a young italian artist named Giulia Falcone, a very exquisit and delicate vocalist singing in Italian, french and english. She did covers of Lara Fabian like Caruso, Je suis malade, Adagio, but also "SOS d'un terrien en detresse "( famous Dimash cover), Against all odds ( Phil Collins), They long to be close to you ( Carpenters), Vole ( Celine Dion), Le blues du businessman ( starmania), creep( radiohead), and more. kzbin.info/aero/PLGr5gGwU548HLO9pRU32piV5OTSu062JL Just by the choices of her covers its obvious that she is tackling many very ambitious songs and the most impressive are for me Caruso (Lucio Dalla) at the age of 12, because she reinterpreted this song in a different way than the original. Same with They long to be close to you, where she didnt emphasise the catchy refrain so much but draws the attention more to the subtle parts of the song modulating it in a jazzy way. Le monde e stone and against all odds are also so authentic and truly heartfelt without the theatrical touch it can take sometimes. Her most viewed covers are SOS, Je suis malade, Caruso and Adagio I guess. Please have a look and consider reviewing her
