I agree that the right person won, Tori is able to hit low notes with ease. Ariana has quite a high voice and I can’t wait to hear her sound when she gets into her mid thirties, I just know her low notes will develop and come through. The styling of Ariana’s whistles was better than Tori’s but you can’t deny the Tori’s runs and agility going up and down when reaching the higher tones! I agree that Tori has a better sounding belt, it’s fuller, whereas Ariana has more of a higher/nasally type belt, but it’s still amazing and fantastic. Both amazing singers, probably the best two singers of this generation!!

They're both great however thry are 2 different sopranos. Ariana has been described as a Light Lyrical Soprano while Tori has been described as a Coloratura Soprano. Which makes sense considering their vocal strengths. Ariana strength is on her mix register while Tori is her agility. It all boils down to personal preference i guess. But interms of technique i will give it to Ariana she has a healthier style of singing. Tori can strain a lot I've noticed, other than that both great singers

Tori has better technique from lower register to midbelts. Both don’t really support much of their upper register but Ariana at least has mastered a heady mix while Tori just pulls up chest all the way up. Ariana also is more confident going up in her falsetto and head, but Tori’s whistle register sounds fuller and better. Overall Tori has showed more control and mastery of her voice tbh.

falsetto and whistles have almost NO importance in who is vocally better...its just that you glorify high notes. Neither of them require support and overuse of them causing damage to the voice which is why she lip syncs them constantly

@@cokolives Not completely true, although whistles yes easy to support, but def hard to master ( many singers can't do it well) . A breathy falsetto like Ariana's def requires extra breath support even more so than some of the other registers. The whole voice should be reviewed not just a limited amount of it, because some singers shine in their lows like Miley and others shine in their high like Mariah. In the end all registers can be a challenge and should be appreciated. Edit: These singers also have to dance a lot and use their voice a lot, if you want to preserve you voice it's def healthy to do so. furthermore in your falsetto it will always be extra breathy and many singers can't sustain it for long, because they simply are physically unable to reduce their breath flow further.

The thing that most people don't understand is how singers like Ariana and Demi (those who get on tours frequently) have it harder in terms of preserving their voice and performing consistent vocals every night. Much underrated singers like Tori doesn't perform much compared to Ariana when touring. It's amazing how Ariana's able to continuously improve despite having a total of 3 tours and a listening session in a span of 6 years only having an 8 month break before starting a new era after dangerous woman

ok so georgina clearly prefers tori which is totally FINE, but what a lot of ppl need to take away from this video is that she acknowledges and praises each artist for their own talents and abilities. she got it spot on at the end, that the clips were a little whack, and tori is technically amazing (they both have good technique and kudos to ari for trying to preserve her voice) but ariana can just be more pleasing for ppl to listen to. it’s just refreshing to see somebody appreciating both of them for who they are instead of having to bash the other in an effort to admire who they personally favor. end of essay and have a good day ::’)

@@LB-uk3bp Ariana has a pleasant tone but she can't produce resonance in any part of her belted range, not even B4, and she only recently started to support consistently to C5. She raises her larynx on C#5 and above and there's very apparent strain in her upper extremities, she also has far more tension in the jaw and tongue. Tori has strain in the upper extremities as well but she can support and resonate very well pretty consistently up to Eb5 at least.

@Hei Dinglepop Ariana actually has far more tension, strain & throatiness plus raised larynx in her upper extremes, her nice tone just covers it up some. Tori strains in her upper extremes as well but she has large resonance and carries support up to Eb5 consistently, Ariana has no resonance in either the 4th or 5th octave, only recently started supporting C5 consistently, and raises her larynx as early as C#5. I like both and tbh prefer to hear Ariana but Tori has the edge over Ariana in basically every aspect vocally.

There's been a constant battle among the fans of Tori and Ari, for years now. Tori fans react badly when Ari fans say she's the vocalist of this generation, but it's all subjective. You can argue about it all day and no one would be objectively right. For me, it's simple. I like Ari's tone and better than Tori's. While I know for a fact that Ariana's vocal technique has been evolving and improving with every year, and she sounds better than ever, Tori still has a slightly better technique than her, sure. But, to me, Ari's voice is more versatile, and I like her high notes and belts better. Tori's voice has more soul, but I prefer Ari's more angelic and breathy vocals. Unlike what some haters will say Ariana's vocals do not lack agility or resonance, or support, but you could argue that Tori has slightly more of that. But the gap is nowhere near as large as people will make it out to be. Tori and Ariana are both incredible vocalists, and two of the best of this generation. No matter who you like better, it can't be denied how insanely talented and vocally accomplished they BOTH are. Neither of them should ever be discredited or underestimated.
