They’re both so good and can sound very similar. I was listening bro covers Tori was doing and cleaning at the same time. She did an Ari song and I had to go pick up my phone and look to see if it was really Tori cuz she sounded so much like Ari. I wish they would collab, I love how they both just keep getting better and better b

Not the best clips of the both of them. Should've chosen better comparisons where they were holding the notes for a more equal length of time. Sometimes one would just hit it briefly. But generally speaking, Tori is better from C5 to E5 and Ariana trumps Tori as the notes get higher. A lot of these compilation videos do focus too much on high chest belts and not realizing that having good range and supported notes also includes your lower notes as well. Ari is more or less better on the higher belts and Tori is better on the lows and some mids. Ari vs Demi is a better comparison because their ranges are similar - weak lows but their higher belts is where they shine. As u mentioned, Tori's strength is really her runs, riffs, agility or technique, rooted in gospel and soul.

Ariana’s lows have gotten better over the years so I wouldn’t say weak same for Demi’s lows as well but I agree with mainly everything you said tbh lol 😂💀

​@@briannaaudain928 With age, its natural for singers' low notes to get better and it will continue to get even better as the years progress. Tori's lows have gotten much better too. But Ariana and Demi are true sopranos, so their ability to hit C3s and D3s well still are not strong at all. Nothing wrong with that. Its just where their range sits.

as a stan of both, ariana's ease is insane, F5 and above, ariana's clarity is just amazing, her high belts are so pleasing to listen, tori's can be very throaty but she's improved it recently, also tori's ability to resonate tho, whew.. if we're talking about overall technique, tori is better, she's very polished and musicality wise is also spectacular (not saying ariana isn't). even though i've seen comments on ariana's technique, if she can still maintain that consistency and sound better each time, she's definitely doing something right. ariana's strong points are high belts, falsetto and whistles. tori's are lows, mid belts, and falsetto/head voice. both are among the best of their generation, so really let's just appreciate both y'all

Ari has way more ease what are you talking about? Biased. Tori has always been throaty above D#5/Eb5 but glad she is improving. Also, this vocal range does not necessarily mean consistency in real life lol. You mostly can see Ari just belting out G#5's and A5's out of nowhere in concerts lmao. As usual when she is bending and improvising runs and melody. Ease in all registers all goes to Ari, belting, falsetto/head voice, and whistle. Musicality wise, it is all with Tori, the placement and the creativity of her vocal registers, runs, and breathiness in the songs she sings are far more superior than Ari.

Agree with all of this. Tori has developed this rasp over the years that makes her upper belt throaty sometimes. In 2020, her voice lost a lot of the rasp and her belts have become clearer so there's a lot less tension there now. Both Ari and Tori have been improving over the years, which is sometimes rare to see. By the late 20s, u can normally hear a vocal decline by powerhouse vocals (Whitney, Mariah, etc), but these ladies have taken care of their voices pretty well. Hope they continue to do so.

u like tori more and that's okay but Ariana's technique is way better from E5 and higher + her midbelts ain't bad either. Tori squeezes those high notes a lot- but I love her Agility and lows

PLS that G#5 was a CLEAR winner to Ariana lol. Ariana also sounds a little more “muted” and less resonant because her mix is very light and heady, it lacks that chesty resonance by stylistic choice.

her belts now are a lot more chesty and are way more supported (you can see in her vevo performances), and the missing resonance isn't because of the mix (the mix can make her lack the chesty power), the missing resonance is from her sometimes lack of support and cut airflow to the nasal cavity (but now with her extra support and chesty belts they're way more powerful and rounded)

Neither of these two are top vocalists of any generation, Ariana Grandes voice is too youthful, her enunciation is poor to say the least and she can't sustain a note,Tori has absolutely no control of her high range, always sounds like she's shouting, they couldn't live with the old school Aretha s Whitney's Chaka s Mariahs etc of this world
