This entire concert is just magical! AURORA has such a mesmerizing voice! I find myself falling into a trancelike state.

Her eyes got big because the lyrics were "children gaze". She just naturally emotes that by inhabiting the children.

I'm not a vocal coach, but I haven't heard a mistake. I think there are no mistakes in music when everything harmonizes with each other. It does here. It may sound different than one or the other is used to, but it is still not a mistake.
@SereneSinging3 жыл бұрын
The word mistake does not represent wrong or bad here. It’s an observation that it’s a decision to change from the original melody.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Aurora. If you're open to it, this girl, her music, and her approach to reality will change your life forever. I only discovered her a little over a year ago... this concert actually was my introduction. And now, she may well be my favorite human being, period. Also love that she chose this song to cover. I'm an American, but I grew up in France...and all throughout Europe during Christmas The Snowman was aired, featuring this beautiful song. It means a lot to me...so many feels. And Aurora nailed the vibe of Nordic nighttime wonder that permeates this song. Anyway, if u haven't yet, u MUST watch this entire concert. It's life changing. Was for me at least :)

Hello! How long i been waiting for next Serene reaction to our AURORA (nine month). This song suits her so good. It´s what you say that she don´t overdoing it. She never doing that, she is natural and always with her heart and that is what i love about her. About the "Gaze" thing i have heard before so i don´t think that was a mistake. But i realy don´´t care myself. As always you definitly don´t make mistakes. It's so far between your AURORA analyzes but I hope I get to see you do a deep dive into my favorite song from her soon. It is the same concert as this and it is called AURORA - Lucky in Nidarosdomen kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k. There is so much to say about this song more than that it is hauntingly beautiful and the arrangement is so beautiful. Plus it's one of her most emotional songs. Hope to see you again soon. Stay safe and healthy Serene. AS always sorry about my english!!

She always sings with her whole body. :) And she always completely disappears into the song she is singing, often shaking herself out of it at the end of the song. If you watch some of her early performances, you will see her movement being jerky. It's because, when she first went on stage, she was told to be still. But, as she has said in interviews, she could not be still. The energy of the song was always moving through her. It was the "advice" from others that short-circuited her expression. Once she learned to just go with her own style, her movements took on the grace and purpose that we now see. I really couldn't speak to whether or not she meant the notes that she sang. but the wide eyes were totally not because of a "mistake". She was expressing the wide eyes of children's wonder that she was singing about. She is actually cute when she does make a mistake in a performance (usually forgetting some words, or starting to sing the wrong verse). She kind of grins and shrugs and proceeds to get it right. Often the audience helps her remember where she is supposed to be in the song. :D If you watch "Through the Eyes of a Child" during this concert, you will hear her voice break in the last verse...because she was starting to cry. She gets very emotional when she sings that song. Of course, the rest of us are a hot mess while she sings it, so she does very well, imo.

you cannot talk about aurora without talking about these three wonderful artists who had a big influence into her music: agnes obel, susanne sundfor and ane brun. if you don't know them yet, you have to get into this experience. because, they will absolutely amaze you. to start with is agnes obel, "the curse" from the berlin live sessions, which is a feast both for your ears and eyes kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGLamJR8f5Vqa5I or "familiar" live, where she sings with this two different voices kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJeooKt8qKtqrpY further i'd like to reccommend two songs by susanne sundfør, "undercover" live kzbin.info/www/bejne/d17Yg6yFqpmMjJY where she shows her immense vocal and songwriting skills, or "the brothel" live at cigalle kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3jGdGObq5x6mdU susanne sundfor is a master in songwriting and composing, in addition to her very unique and powerful voice. finally i'd like to introduce you to ane brun, who is also a wonderful voice in the nordic music landscape. first of all, she is a huge role model for aurora and played exclusively an aurora cover of "all is soft inside", which was featured in a documentary about aurora called "haik". here you'll find it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHOTgqttl9p2fJo auroras face when she realized that ane brun is playing her song is priceless. to end, i'd reccomend the song "last breath" kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWjGe3-Vh9R7q7c
