You used the exact perfect word for this: "cheeky". If you watch her interviews Aurora often demonstrates a playfulness that doesn't show up in most of her MVs. And it really works here. BTW she had 10 years of dance training before starting her music career. I'd suggest "Queendom" and "Apple Tree" if you enjoy watching her move (I certainly do). Great reaction.

@michaelavanduesen Жыл бұрын
Honestly thought of Enya too. But like...I have thought of various artists here and there from her. Like she's her own person and so unique and she just doesn't fit in one box. Some artists while having some uniqueness are so very similar to other artists where it's like...we know you definitely have that reference as an influence and they do kind of fit into a box easier. Aurora is just one of those artists that does as she pleases, can easily do so, and stuns us every time.

My favorite Aurora song is "The Seed". The lyrics of the chorus about what our species is doing to our Earth always move me and bring tears to my eyes. It is so powerful. "Cure for Me" is also great. Let's be real it's pretty much impossible for ANY female artist in Indie music ( as a genre. Yes it has taken own its own genre just like " pop " ) to not be inspired by Kate Bush on some level whether directly or indirectly. Because even if they don't know who she is they've been inspired by someone who was inspired by her. She really did move mountains in music.
