What happened at 4:00 was the triple effect of Aurora’s movements and self expression, her amazing vocals pulling you in and the lyrics to the song.
@ryanmrdmpro8251
@ryanmrdmpro8251 6 жыл бұрын
Your reaction at 4:00 is basically what I’ve become addicted to since I first heard and started listening to musicians from Norway (where Aurora is from). It’s like you’re just sitting there listening and you don’t know what happened, if anything, but your body feels like it just got hit with this emotional train and you’re like “whaaaat is happening to me???” It’s hard to put your finger on it. There’s definitely something in the air over there. Check that stuff out if you haven’t! Susanne Sundfør, Emilie Nicolas for example. Anyway, great reaction! Awesome to see!

Have you checked out Wardruna? It is a Norwegian band and they are different and divine. Aurora has sung one song with them, Helvegen, you should give it a listen. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ_Ohah-hZ6kadE Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live) They sing in old Norwegian, so here are the translated lyrics, it is a 1000 year old poem about the road to death. This is really primal and goes strait to my spin Helvegen (English Translation) Wardruna Who will sing me Into the death-sleep sling me When I walk the road to Hel And the tracks I tread Are cold, so cold I sought the songs I sent the songs When the deepest well Offered drops so mighty Of Valfather’s pledge I know it all, Odin Where you hid your eye Early or in fading day Still the raven knows if I fall When you stand by the gate of Hel And when you must tear loose Follow you I shall Across the bridge of Gjöll With my song You will be free from the bonds that bind you You are free from the bonds that bound you [Håvamål - The High Ones' Speech, Poetic Edda] Cattle die, kinsmen die You yourself will also die But the word about you will never die If you win a good reputation Cattle die, kinsmen die You yourself will also die I know one thing that never dies The reputation of those who died

@@christian8156 Yes. I can see that you think angel, I think Elf Queen. In the vevo lift version it seem as if she has a light inside her and she is luminescent and it is shining out of her pores. This song sound ancient and at the same time it is something completely new that feels terribly relevant in our day, all at the same time. It is beyond primal and beyond words, it is pure feeling, and healing. It feels like a hidden magic sprung to life in my whole body, it vibrates through my veins, touches my heart and nourishes my soul. A couple of weeks ago it was Lucky on repeat because I needed it and now it is All Is Soft Inside and I switch between the Live on KEXP performance and the one in Live at Lollapalooza Brasil 2018. @@mammastenhjerte I only discovered Aurora about a month ago, and am absolutely mesmerised by her. I too like the KEXP concert, and also the live at Nidarosdomen. And tonight I watched the Lolapolooza in Chicago from 2016. I love how Aurora is not only unique, but also honest. I have watched several of her interviews, and she has no pretentiousness like many mainstream artists. Also, hoping this doesn't sound wrong in any way, she is beautiful too; no piercings, no tattoos, and what little makeup she uses - I know there is always some on stage anyway - is not excessive, just naturally beautiful. Just Aurora. A breath of fresh air in a world where many artists are the same as each other.

I’m so glad you did this! Aurora really impacts me in a way not many artists do. Daughter has a somewhat similar impact, but it happens less. “Doing the Right Thing,” “Run,” and “Youth,” are some of Daughter’s I return to. Sometimes music feels a bit... spiritual to me, regardless of the content or subject matter. There’s a feeling of truth in Aurora’s music that just strikes me. I love writing after I listen to her stuff; it’s deeply inspiring, like getting a glimpse behind the creative curtain at what’s possible with the truth of your experience on your side. I’d adore your thoughts on Winter Bird from her first album; it’s... she does some crazy stuff with her vocals. It’s not as out there as Wisdom Cries (I find that technique aggressive enough that it makes me actively anxious, lol) but it’s still very... Aurora. She has some beautiful deep cuts I feel like people won’t be as likely to review or see and it really makes me sad, especially with an artist like Aurora I don’t feel as releases anything superfluous or to pad the track list. Thank you for the wonderful video; it’s a great reminder that even people who are trained to evoke beauty from people aren’t inured to it. There’s just a part of us that responds in a very human way, and I think that’s to be celebrated. ☺️ It was beautiful that it happened and we’re lucky to have gone on that moment with you. Thank you for posting; you add to our days and we appreciate it. 🙏🏻

I LOVE WHEN YOU REACT TO ARTISTS I LOVE. At the beginning, I didn't like her. Her vocals were weird to me. But then I listened to THIS song and I cried my eyes out. She makes me cry a lot (confessions of a metalhead, pt. 1 xD). She reproduces a type of vibration that causes that in me, it is either voice, guitar, cello, keyboards.... There are just some sounds that trigger something. I shake like when having huge goosebumps and then my eyes just liquify. It's amazing.

There is something of the warrior in me. Lech Walesa Every person has a legacy. You may not know what your impact is, and it may not be something that you can write on your tombstone, but every person has an impact on this world. Dara Horn. “When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” → Lao Tzu. A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love, and well-being. James E. Faust. “This is not about going back. This is about life being ahead of you and you run at it! Because you never know how far you can run unless you run.” ― Penny Chenery Secretariat Nearly twenty five years following my birth date, May 15th 1994, I have received early intervention occupational therapy treatment, as a result of my High Functioning Aspergers Autism; Leading up to my childhood, I needed a speech pathologist and speech therapist, so they could help me start the process of developing and strengthening my verbal speech; Did I ever quit, even as my humanity was entrenched in knee high Navy Seals Mud daunting tasks? Never. Don Haskins, The UTEP Miners Mens NCAA Basketball Coach that guided the Miners to an National Title Victory over the 4-Straight NCAA Title Tournament Champion Kentucky Wildcats led by Rupp, from Trevor Rabin’s 2005 Glory Road Film once candidly said, “You wanna quit. You wanna quit. You quit right now, you quit every day the rest of your life.” My name is Jonathan Trauner. This is my story. This is my story. My story is called, Superheroic. Following my birth in Manhattan New York City, on May 15th 1994, I could not develop coherent human speech and talk, even past the age of two and a half; At the age of three years old, following, numerous speech therapy sessions, I had been able to attend Elementary and Middle School, as I would move forward with my life’s journey. At Elementary and Middle School, I was bullied because, I was always the last person picked for recess sports teams; I always ran the slowest PE mile times, especially in my Elementary School in New York. I could barely even do, one pull up, in any of my rigorous PE Fitness classes; Never give up; I never quit, as I faced obstacles as a child, and I will still never give up, even if I am met with more adversity, which happens to even the strongest of Superheroes and Humans. From April through June of 2005, I had overcome a solid black ice mountain trail at Bear Mountain State Park that I have sustained tough falls on, and kept on rising even after falling enroute to my reaching the Summit of my Mountain Trail; I also, on June 6th 2005, broke a Tae Kwon Do Karate board on fire to earn my second degree black belt in Martial Arts, when I was only ten years old. I AM STILL HERE. I AM STILL HERE. THE GREATEST SUPERHEROES IN THE WORLD, NEVER EVER GIVE UP. LOVE AND KINDNESS RESTS WITHIN MY SOUL. In 2008, following an summer camp counselor leadership volunteership experience with the JCC Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester New York, I moved to South Miami Florida; From 2008 to 2016, I resided in South Miami Florida. As a high school student, in North Miami Beach Florida, I had been told by my University of Miami clinical psychiatrist doctor Dr. Amy Beaumont, that I had High Functioning Autism; DID I ALMOST CHOOSE TO QUIT, AFTER LEARNING I HAVE AUTISM? I almost chose to quit, and let inspiring the world, be relegated for more influential and stronger people. Truthfully speaking, I had overcome more hurdles, than I ever knew I did, after my childhood years. I volunteered on one of Jerusalem’s oldest archaeology sites. I volunteered as a Volunteers for Israel Sar El-non combat humanitarian aid relief soldier, in Beer Sheba Israel, in the Negev Desert region. I volunteered for the Israel Museum of Jerusalem as an MASA Israel program participant, and as a 4-D Landscape stereoscopic curator; I archived Russian Jewish family photography for The National Library of Jerusalem’s Central Archives of Jewish History. I graduated from Goucher College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and the Liberal Arts. Following my graduation from Goucher College in Baltimore Maryland, I earned my Israeli American dual citizenship in Jerusalem Israel (my present home of over three years), on November 28th 2016. In the course of my late May 2016 Israeli immigration plane flight from JFK Airport of New York City to Tel Aviv Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, I screened the film Brooklyn; and I boarded an airplane that would lead me to my becoming an Israeli citizen for the first time; Home for me, is in South Miami Florida; For fourteen years of my childhood, I lived in Westchester White Plains as a past New York native resident; New York holds a special place in my heart still, just as much as South Miami holds a special place in my heart. Home is where your heart resides. Home is family; Family and love is what makes our human world, all the more priceless and wonderful. As my Israeli immigration flight landed in Tel Aviv in late May 2016, after going above the Atlantic Ocean for over nine and a half hours, I knew that I would become an Israeli citizen just as my real mother did, and just as her late mother Salima Chai did (in the 1950s), following most of her childhood residing in Mosul Baghdad Iraq with her parents. In Jerusalem, my late grandmother Salima Chai, gave birth to my loving real mother. My late grandmother Salima Chai, gave my mother an education, loved her so much, and made sure my mother always had her mother by her side; Salima is my Israeli and American family’s greatest Wonder Woman and one of our greatest life inspirations; Salima, would always spread love, kindness, gratitude, and endless joy and happiness to every person, globally, that she ever met; When you spread love, kindness, gratitude, and happiness to all human people in the universe, love, kindness, gratitude, and happiness gets passed along to you in return. In late October 2016, following the passing of my mother’s late mother Salima Chai, I had to, as an Israeli, face the pain and trauma of the death of having lost someone eternally meaningful and loving for my real mother. As I mourned my late grandmother, I decided to carry on her love and kindness led legacy, for my Jerusalem Israeli family and my mother, and ensuring I could support my family and mother as much as I can, every single day, they need my shoulder. In December 2017, I saw The Battle of The Sexes Film; I also saw the film Wonder Woman, La La Land, Mary Queen of Scots, Secretariat, Moonlight, The Beauty and the Beast led by Emma Watson, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, and Brooklyn, all films that taught me, that every person and life, has the power to inspire and uplift the world with eternal love, joy, happiness, kindness, compassion, hope, resilience, courage, gratitude, and grace. Since July 23rd 2018 of last summer, I have been correcting computer data algorithms for Mobileye Intel Har Hotsvim Jerusalem, and Mobileye Intel’s QA System, which enables computer machine vision learning technology and artificial intelligence technology, to innovate and repair safe driving technology innovation resources, in order to stop fatal road accidents and save hundreds of thousands of lives every year. A person is judged by the love, that our own human person and soul carries. Never ever give up. Through resilience, love, heart, and courage, anything is possible. Even impossible dreams, can come true, when we love the universe the way we love ourselves." “Hope is the most powerful force in the universe.” ― William H. McRaven, Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life...And Maybe the World. (I believe one day I will win an Oscar Academy Award).

The experience you had at 4:00 is most likely that you have synesthesia. I find aurora taps into mine more frequently than most musical artists. If you find this sort of thing happens, as most people who are deeply into music do, and others around you can’t quite understand or don’t feel the music the same way you do this is often the reason. They are not the same as us.

I absolutely loved your "reaction" or analysis of this song. No superfluous or dumb comments which ruin most "resctions." You stopped at just the right moments. I completely agree with you about that incredibly emotional moment in the song. It was both the horrifyingly beautiful lyrics and her incredible fragile vocals, that drew out the exact same reaction in me. I'm a 58-year old and I teared up. The idea of a 'tender' mercy of killing the one you love to spare them the terrible things that will come, is at the same time a horror and beauty (in the abstract). What songwriting! I only discovered Aurora yesterday. I confess and am ashamed to admit that I had been ducking her videos because of her non-conforming appearance. I finally bit the bullet out of curiosity, and I am head over heels in love. Thank you.
