In a nutshell, this MV is indeed based on that book. Those two bad guys are the sinners. The elevator is inferno or hell (with reference to Dante's Divine Comedy ). Bella's portraying "Karma" and the devil herself 😈 . Sub Urban's character is very cryptic. I mean he was a bartender-a server. Metaphorically, he details the punishment for the sinners i.e. Lightning (The Lust Storm) from the 2nd Layer of hell, Dirty-Muddy water (Stinking and decaying water of the Styx river) from the 5th Layer of hell, and Ice ( A Frozen Lake) from the 9th Layer of hell. I forgot 'bout the bee swarm, I think this is from the gate of hell? It was mentioned in Dante's book tho; "forever running behind a banner and eternally stung by hornets and wasps". I'm actually glad that Bella made this song because she is finally comfortable sharing her SA experience with social media. SA is a serious topic and is a very hard one to share with people if it happened to you. But this was truly great, expressing so many feelings. But at the same time, Bella standing up and become the most powerful in the situation. Bella has definitely improved a lot since "Build a B*tch" and you can tell she puts a lot more effort into her songs then many other influencers who make songs. Since she has only made 2 songs in a long period of time. Suburban kinda reminds me of that one anime 'death parade' where the MCs were bartenders and were the ones to decide if the person goes to hell or be reincarnated. And the best thing is! Is the fact that there was also an elevator in the anime to take you to the underworld or your next life! I feel, since Bella is also a fan of anime, that the mv was also inspired by Death Parade.

Fun fact: The elevator scenes are actually on dantes circles of hell as i remembered the lust where people got tossed in the wind violently the storm represents gluttony. Wrath the black slime and last those who are frozen represent the punishment of treachery this is prob why the song title is called 'imferno'

The MV is heavily inspired by Dante’s Inferno. I like that it also takes plays in elevator it’s almost like she change hell’s circles for floors lmao. And since she said the song is supposed to be about her SA and how she wish it would went I think the story is the bartender sees she might get hurt by those creeps so he’s trying to stop the elevator to help her but she’s like a demon or something and she deals with those “sinner” herself, so that’s why he’s kinda suprised when she walks out of elavator and those guys are like frozen
