I still love the fact that Cobyn Blue actually was already a complete theatre kid doing dancelessons and everything and had to learn playing basketball (opposite his character being a total jock and singing 'I don't dance' in part 2)

Drew Seeley sang the songs as Troy (he is still amazing, I heard him live), but Zac sings the beginning of Start of something new, and I think the beginning and the ending of Breaking free😊😊 *edit* he sings the end of Start of something new as well😁

zac sings the beginning of something new and sings a all of his songs in the second and third movie.

Zac didn't sing in the first movie, at least not for the most part. Apparently he only sings the first four lines of "Start of Something New", the first sentence of "Breaking Free" and during the scene on the balcony. The only reason I've seen that makes sense is because Zac's natural voice was too low for that of a tenor and the producers wanted a tenor to match the role. However, Zac did all of his own singing in the sequels, as all the music in those films had been tailored specifically for his voice.

He wasnt much of a singer, so Drew stepped up to sing it..which is heavy in Head in the game song. and he did sing in the concert. Zac was taking voice lessons and in 2 and 3 he sang.

I hope you react to High School Musical 2. I think personally it is way better than the first one. It has better songs in it & different character interactions that was not really in the first one. My favorite song on it by far is I Don't Dance that is sung between the characters Chad and Ryan. They have a really good chemistry and it was fun to watch because it's an upbeat song and the dancing was pretty cool.

HSM2 was good but HSM3 is where it’s at for me the songs are so good and there’re enough romantic songs in the movie but also a lot of fun songs and I love how it ends

I agree the first one was the weakest of the three. It's not my favorite because it doesn't do Ryan any justice at all. He's played as a complete idiot in this first movie but as he develops through 2 and 3 you discover he's a brilliant choreographer. I think his character arch ends up being the best done by the end.

My high school was bigger than the one they showed in the movie with six full floors and three basements. In the 13 years since it's actually tripled in size though, so it's competitive with a college campus in size, class options, variety of fine arts, clubs and athletics. East High would have been easier to get around than what I had.

My high school is doing this for our musical this year and it is very hard learning the choreo and memorizing songs but it so fun. The script reminds me of the awesomeness that is the movie. If that makes any sense?

I’m late on this video… but for Gabriella’s solo song… in the beginning the lower notes were sung by Naya Rivera. That is why they sounded “synthetic” because it wasn’t her 😂

watching the next 2 would be so fun, too! the 2nd one is still cheesy (especially one PARTICULAR scene, if you know you know) but it's more balanced with better songs and acting imo, and the 3rd one was the theatrical release one and it shows lol
