Unfortunately it has no winning chances because the ESC audience doesnt appreciate songs and voices like this enough. But it is perfect. Her voice, the lyrics and all of that in the beautiful portuguese language. That's the kind of entry I wish from everybody but most of the entries are boring english pop songs (including my country Germany).

There's something so eerie in this song. It sounds very unusual. The instrumentation is simple, the singer's voice is gorgeous with that roughness in the timber. Also it's in the national language which is always a plus for me. It's like there's pain or despair in her voice. It's beautiful.

Pain and Despair is part of Fado, a Portuguese style of singing. That is why this song has that painful feeling although it's not a Fado song, it's Fado inspired for sure.

Hi Georgina. Great fan of yours.Waiting long for this reaction. I think this is the best of Portugal's songs since Salvador Sobral. Once again we are really underrated at the odds. This is Master peace, it has soul, great music, lyrics, voice, performance, staging. This is perfection. I don't care if we'll not qualify at the SF. I'm really proud of our representation. It's true, honest and we are out of the standards. Be different, Be unique.

Thank you Georgina for your lovely comment. I have been anxiously wating for it because I appreciate your honesty even when you do not like what I do like !!! The song is about mental struggles and fighting to overcome them on you own - Self empowerment. I get that is not for everyone and it might be thought to get the attention on the televote. She is on the 2nd half of the 1st semi final what is a difficult one. But if she gets to the Final I believe that she will get the love and attention of the juries. Explaining the choreography, the dancers are/represent the struggles and her demons and at the end she makes them disappear with her scream overcoming the struggle . Grito = scream . The white is to represent the flames, the pure white light the that emanates from the soft candle flames. Love from a Portuguese in the Midlands

Digna de louvor. Obra prima de arte emocional, determinação e coragem. Sabedoria emocional e resiliência. Divino e celestial. ARTE GENUÍNA E PURA. Conquista a nossa alma. Reacende a nossa chama. Digna de louvor, admiração. Exímia! VENCEDORA E CONQUISTADORA 🤍🔥🙏 jamais desistir ou resignar. Tudo é possível! Pois TU EXISTES E CRIASTE UNICIDADE.

I know that it must be tricky to figure out the first letter of her name but it's not an "L", it's an "i" (iolanda, not Lolanda).
@porreiraxo6 ай бұрын
I think the lyrics' translation might not make what it really is the background of it. In a nutshell, it relates with her your demons in life and her mental struggles which is represented by the dancers - in some parts of the music they follow her movements or she follow theirs like a unison until she releases the "grito" (scream) that make them go away in the end. Tbh I think that we (I'm Portuguese) will struggle to be in the final which, I think, it's a pity because as a music and performance, this is great in my opinion.
