Thanks so much for reacting this song ! Jay is not only a great singer but also a talented singer-song writer🫶 I love him so much as his voice is always authentic and healing! And always sings with his heart out❤️‍🔥 His live performance is awesome and stable even in an environment with bad sound system!! Jay is way too underrated and he definitely deserves more !

Thanks for reacting to Jay’s performance. He’s my fave cantopop singer. Jay Fung ws born and gre up in Canada and his music is definitely more R&B and western pop. He can’t even read Chinese and he only writes the melody so I am not sure if he would actually put thoughts into if the song is more canto suited or not since his own demo is always in English. Personally I think the production and the song arrangement have contributed to the more cantopop vibe but not so much of his own songwriting

I wish you could do a reaction video on another Singaporean singer Kit Chan... the way she pronunciates and articulates her words is rather interesting... she has mandarin, cantonese and English albums... and she also does stage plays! It would be fun to watch... thankyou~ ❤

Heres another really talented singer from hong kong - 鄧小巧、 she recently covered a song called 無以名狀的痛 kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJrXmqZjfaqtgaMsi=BCvCFKvvwwURqBaM For me as a Hong Konger I always felt it was hard to balance technique, phrasing and pronunciation in Cantonese, but I think she did it in a very canto way and I loved it!!

Very traditional Cantonese opera is full of runs and riffs.😂😂 So modern pop song has less of them And hk ppl are less patient. We dun have patient to hear so many riffs😅 for one or two words🤣

Suggest to review Gareth T’s song “dinner in bed” and “勁浪漫超溫馨”. Same song same singer in both English and Cantonese version. It might be a good material to study the difference/ limitation between cantonese n eng :)

Cantonese is tricky, you have to stick with the pitch, or else the meaning of the words would just be different. I defo find him better singing in Eng!
