This music video is a masterpiece. Beginning with the music, the boys did an incredible job of arranging it. Tatiana wrote an epic love poem, illuminating her ongoing search for a soulmate, and created this lovely melody. Max Morton’s mix, as usual is impeccable. And the imagery... that spiral galaxy and x-ray jet at at the end.

Well said. My nerd side does sometimes pipe up with the observation that I wouldn't want to be that close to in line with the jets frome an active galactic nucleus haha. But then I slap that nerd side and remind him that gods and a goddess don't worry about such things. ;)

It’s hard to remember that she is pretty much completely self taught, as are all the band members. The only one with formal training is Vlad (not in this video, this is the old drummer who is also amazing), who is trained on piano!! He plays several instruments. Tatiana developed her own technique for singing and growling, and can’t tell you how she does what she does. They are all amazing musicians to be sure. Great reaction, keep them coming.

Just a heads up on Home Back. There are parts where the boys are so far out of a groove but at the same time still in one. Oh and beware of the end of the song Tati is going to eat your face.

This is the song that got me into Jinjer. It came on a random spotify playlist in my car around 4 years ago (before I'd seen Pisces I might add!) and I fell in love instantly. As soon as I got home I hit KZbin and was blown away when I realised it was all Tatiana's voice. Have since seen them twice live and can't wait for the new album to drop!

Wow, great video! Very good reaction and analysis, very insigthful! You nailed with the official video, it´s the few ones that are better than to watch a live version, both the song and the video shine way more in this official release. I would love to see more Jinjer reactions but keep in mind that what you heard so far is the less extreme Jinjer, great songs but they go far more hardcore. So I would suggest something in between, not super extreme but a bit more hard that this previous ones: "Retrospection" official video or live in Melbourne and "Pit of Consciouness" official video or live in Kiev, you choose. Again, great video.

Tatiana has actually in several interviews said its actually not easy to do her harsh vocals and she even forgets how to do them now and then but seems like she good at relearning her skills. This is offcourse when she hasnt used them in a while not like gone from 1 day to another.

@@morethanjustavocalcoach i will guess its most of a problem at start of new tour or the practice before the tour live and studio are both solid

To be fair. It's not much of a re-learning if you just don't stop touring, which was pretty much the case pre-covid.

Max Morton is the producer and sound engineer. He has his own great band named Morton and Tatiana does backing vocals for some that should be checked out.

2 of Morton's most recent videos have Tatiana doing backing vocals. Check out The Horror of Daniel Wagner and Through the Never. Through the Never has the same video director as I Speak Astronomy.

I love this song as well. It's a great song for her soaring vocals. I just love her voice! I've always stuck with this video for this song as all the other ones I've seen seem to have issues with the audio not being so great for the live versions, but Alive in Melbourne has a great live version of this. I'll include the link to the I Speak Astronomy track on the Alive in Melbourne video here as there isn't a separate live version release of this from that show: Live in Melbourne 2020 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHmvoKiOgM-HhLM&ab_channel=NapalmRecords. That whole show is awesome as well. I just got my tickets for the upcoming Oct 24th show in Portland, OR. Been watching this full concert a lot lately, can't wait!

For what it's worth, Tatiana is self-taught, so that might explain the jaw movement, but also this is a music video, so what you see in the video doesn't necessarily reflect the techniques used in the studio version, like you said, she may have just done that for dramatic effect.

Another great reaction and analysis. Another group that I think you'd appreciate is Seven Spires. The singer, Adrienne Cowan, is a highly trained musician with an extremely diverse voice. The band ranges from power to black to symphonic metal. For a more melodic song, check out "Succumb," and for a more brutal song, check out "Drowner of Worlds."

Fun reaction and solid analysis. Definitely not a mistake to watch the official video here. It is beautiful, but there is also no definitive live performance for this song that most of us would wholeheartedly recommend over the video. There are three that are each great in their own way but not quite perfect. Resurrection Fest and Summer Breeze are both great performances but the recording quality isn't top-notch in either case. The recording quality for the version that is part of the Alive In Melbourne full set is great and Tatiana did a technically great job. However, this song was written as a "call to the universe" to find someone Tati is mentally and spiritually compatible with, and her performances before 2019 she poured her loneliness into the belting at the end which was heartbreakingly beautifully. Since then she's found a guy who is great for her and the edge just isn't as intense in the Melbourne performance. All totally worth watching though - not necessarily as a reaction. Home Back you've probably heard is about their hometown getting caught in the war in eastern Ukraine. The song speaks powerfully to their experiences and for the millions of civilians caught in every war around the world. The video is incredibly powerful and I wouldn't miss it. There is also a live version on the Melbourne full set with links to each song in the video description if you wanted to do a double feature. Cheers!

I would love for you to check out Eivor-Trollabundin 10.8.13 she is quite a unique singer like Tatiana but in a different way. For I speak astronomy I like the mix in the second half in the down tempo with the spacey guitars but not so much in the beginning half of the song. In fact I like the entire composition and mix in that second section.

Hey would love to hear your thoughts on the song Snuff, sung by Corey Taylor from Slipknot. They are better known for their Metal music, but Snuff is the first ever slow song of them on the album All Hope Is Gone(2008). It is the final single released from the band with their full original lineup before the death of bassist Paul Gray who died eight months later after its release. During recent solo acoustic shows, Corey Taylor has performed an acoustic version of "Snuff" as a tribute to Paul Gray. It is very powerfull and emotional. You really can hear the pain in his voice. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3OuZ6uvotJ-fq8

please, try not to get caught up in "traditional" ways of singing. that does restrict innovation and progress. i understand the reasons for those techniques but they aren't set in stone, just because someone said they are.
