You might want to check their "Perennial" (live at Wacken 2019). It's the last song of the set, they all look knackered, and they do a perfect performance. Their music is intricate and it's hard to tell where they are going to go. Good reaction, too.

I'm really not being smug or ironic or anything: I _genuinely_ love how there are so many reactions to this song that are shocked but in the end intrigued, fascinated, and impressed. How everyone acknowledges the vocal range of Tatyana and the musical awesomeness of the band. How this whole experience impresses even those that are not usually into metal. It is just SO wholesome!

Ok. Here's the deal with this song. Pisces is the 2 fish sign. There are tons of fish references in the piece. One fish is all about light, peace and love. The other is about darkness, hatred and death. When she's clean singing, that's the light side of the sign. Thr fry screaming is the darkness. Btw, Tatiana is a Pisces herself; March 15th. She's 33.
@mercy5004
@mercy5004 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, plus the sign itself is a bit misleading. The symbol most people think of, is the two fish who swim in a yin-yang formation. but the actual symbol )-( is supposed to represent the actual constellation, which is of two fish swimming in opposite directions. So its both about balance, and yet opposition. Part of why I love this song is that it represents this relationship so well (the discord between the two types of singing, yet harmonized together) and that I'm a Pisces too :). Really the name itself should be a big hint for what's to come lol.

Really like this reaction. Loved your face when Tatiana (vocals) started with the screams/growls haha. In shock and impressed at the same time. Glad you shouted out the musicians as well, they are all so talented 🤘 looks like you kind of like it, right? 😅😂 My friend, there are so many great vocalists out there in metal. I just saw you have also reacted to Nightwish. If you could listen to the song "Ghost Love Score" live performance at Wacken 2013. The lead vocalist (Floor Jansen) got a flawless technique (she is actually a vocal coach too). Take a look into that and you'll see what I'm talking about. (more "operatic" or "classical" sound. Nightwish & Jinjer are two rabbit holes you should go down.

Ah, I see you’ve met and heard Tatiana, the Queen of Growl. Nice reaction! This song was a bipolar display of her vocal capabilities on a song about the duality that she sees in herself and other pisces ♓️ . I personally enjoy their live performance of Who is Going to be the One, which reminds me of Alex Terrible’s stuff much more. The music is not too heavy though, so nothing like Slaughter to Prevail. Please check out Ghost Love Score, Storytime or Romanticide from Nightwish! While Tati here may be the queen of growl, Floor is still the goddess of female vocals in metal 😉🔥🎤

Wouldn't it be like a daydream of all times: a gig with these two: jinjer & nightwish After that, i think one could say: i've had it all, i'm ready And yes, hard to figure out which one would be first, which 2nd in the set. Both!! They're so unique in their own thing. Exceptionally talented and just "all in" there ❤️❤️❤️ @Billy Gollner For jinjer: do judgement & punishment m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2bVmJJsaLibp8k And perennial m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKnMZJxvrN-EeM0 And yes, those versions. Though, they just amaze in any song you listen to. The progressive rhythms, mixing of different styles, their cohesion as a band and and and Yes. That is the thing those have in common They're never half way there But just doing it with whole ❤️, 150%

Interesting point: Tati said in an interview that in times when she had problems with her voice it is easier for her to use the extreme than high pitch clear voice parts. You have now been bitten by the Jinjer bug. I dig that fact that even though this may not be the type of music you listen to, you totally appreciate the skill level of this band and Tatiana.

I love how she changes the scream at the end sometimes! Plus, I'd like to use that demon voice thing as a very effective self defense tool.... love this band!

That was a perfect analogy you used. A shot putter vs a distance runner. Both highly trained, but complete opposite body types and training styles. Best description I've heard so far! 👍👍

You absolutely need to watch them live at Wacken, I'm sure a million people have already told you, but Perennial live. Truly shows you her, not only ability, but stage presence as well.
