Just for context, Juan Gabriel’s utmost dream as a rising singer, was to sing in Bellas Artes with a symphony. As dreamed, he performed several times and this performance was one of them. Singing at Bellas Artes is very limited and only the most talented, deemed by the organization, can do it. He performed with the same passion at every concert. No gig was too small for him. He even wrote a song for our Lady of Guadalupe and his performances of the song at the Basilica and Estadio Azteca are breathtaking.

One of the big carasterics of Juanga is that he can make you feel the song, it does not matter the time.. He sing this song since he was younger but everytime he does it, he makes you feel every word. The potential and sadness in his voice transport you to his on feelings, same happens on happy songs he interprets. I always think of this song write to all the people he loves, family, friends, fans... and ofcourse himself.. I think it hits hard to us to listening to him singing that song cause he was getting old.. and hits un on the melancoly, plus the extraordinary work he made with the symphony.

My Dad had tickets to his show in our local city. It was the first time Juan Gabriel was coming to Utah and my Dad was so elated. Juan Gabriel was his all-time favorite artist and he had never seen him live. Juan would die days before his show in Salt Lake. My Dad was devastated, I've never seen him like that. He isn't a person who shows his emotions easily, but this occasion was different. My dad disappeared on us for two days and when he reappeared he said he went hiking to think about things and that he was doing better. We were scared a little for a minute, but now we laugh about it.

Don, At the beginning, Juan Gabriel is teasing the members of his audience that have not emotionally recovered from his previous song. He says, Hey guys, regain your composure. Juan Gabriel is telling a story about his life with the video of passages of his life playing in the screen behind him. He wrote this song for his deceased sister, who took him in and was more of a mother figure for him than his own mom was. The song reminds us of the cruelty of time and how it doesn't forgive, To hold one another. I'm glad you're going down the Juan Gabriel Rabbit hole. Blessings to you.

I’m sure someone has answered this but nada means “nothing” in Spanish. This song’s called “hug me tight” and the jist is just to love the people around you while you have them. Hug them. Cherish that hug bc time is cruel, a bad friend, it is unwavering and unforgiving. He’s saying “hug me because time is unforgiving, i want to thank you, love, for all you’ve given me. Hug me. Hug me again. Hug me tighter. Hug me because time is against us.” Time is coming and it’s not kind. It’s about loving on your people while they’re here in the flesh. Being thankful to have experienced love to its fullest.

At the beginning of the video, Juan Gabriel says, "There are boys who don't behave," referring to the audience making jokes or interacting with him. The lyrics of the song were used at my wedding as a waltz. And they say the following: "When you are with me It's when I say That it was worth everything, everything That I have suffered I don't know if it's still a dream Or if it's a reality But when I'm with you is when I say That this love I feel Is because you deserve it To tell you, my love, that I have dawned once again Crying with happiness By your side, I feel that I am living Nothing is like yesterday Hug me because time passes, and it never forgives It has wreaked havoc on my people as well as on myself Hug me because time is bad and very cruel, my friend Hug me because time is gold if you are with me Hug me tightly, very tightly, tighter than ever Always hug me Today that you are with me I don't know if time is passing or if you have stopped it This is how I want to be forever I take advantage of having you with me I thank you for every moment of my life When you look at the sky For every star that appears, my love, it's an "I love you" Hug me because time hurts, and the sky is a witness That time is cruel and doesn't want anyone, that's why I tell you Hug me very tightly, my love, keep me by your side I want to thank you, my love, for everything you have given me I want to reciprocate in one way or another every day My love, I have never been in favor of pain But I had to suffer when I trusted and believed In someone who swore to give their life for me Hug me because time passes, and it never forgives Hug me very tightly, my love, because time is coming against us Hug me because God forgives, but time forgives no one Hug me because it doesn't care to know who one is Hug me because time passes, and it never forgives It has wreaked havoc on my people as well as on myself Hug me because time is bad and very cruel, my friend Hug me very tightly, my love."
