My man he is one in a billion! He told a story in all of his songs. From a poor abandoned kid to the most honored Mexican song writer and performer, he had a lonely childhood lived in Juarez Mexico singing in the streets for help. His mother sacrificed him to be able to support the rest of the family. When he made it, he bought his mom a mansion and removed her from cleaning other people's homes. Never did held it against her his lo0pss of childhood. So sad!

Hi, just wanted to share some insight on Juan Gabriel this cat was a perfectionist he did not mess arround. He wrote over 1000 songs most top hits and interpret by top singers in the world. Not only did he write the lyrics he produce , directed and participated on the arrangement. This guy if he had to take 20 people to record a specific instrument to get the sound he wanted he would. He said that all of his songs were written from events in his life. If you hear the lyrics they are not just ny lyrics they are so unique. As far as the concerts he did , he was and has been the only singer to put Mariachi, full orchestra, traditional band all at the same time with complex arrangement. All musicians had to be on there toes with him. A big part of his concerts was his improvisation he would come up with rap like lyrics and add to the end of the songs and all the musicians had to be with him and solo and improvise on comment. He was so perfectionist that he would check the musicians on stage. I personally got to see it most ppl wouldn't catch on to it but as I musician I did. Once the orchestra was so off of what he wanted he stopped and told them " there's alot of teachers on stage but remember there's there's only one director" meaning him. People knew his style and him being perfectionist that it was ok for him to be like that. From singing at a bar called el Noa Noa which he wrote a song about to major concert, movies and world known. Theres never going to be another Juan Gabriel. Thanks for shinning light on him he must never be forgotten. Side not I got the honor to go see him at a concert my life long dream. Dude never seen hundreds of people cry all at once bcuz of some lyrics. In every concert he would do a specific movement and people would die. He never said what his sexuality was but did answer to a reporter when ask "what you see you dont ask" why I mention it is because that was a big part of his performance. The concert i saw in person he would get his jacket and tie it as a dress and drop it like its hot lol dude he knew when exactly to do it. Like I mention he had different moves and people loved that.

This song was a big hit. It was a big hit here in the USA too. He gave this song to Isabel Pantoja, and she made this song a huge success. It's a beautiful song. Isabel Pantoja is from Spain, and she was a huge singer in the 80's and 90's. There is a video of the two of them singing this song together. This song was one of my mother's favorite songs. It is a lovely, bit bitter-sweet song for me. My Mom passed away in 1989. She was still very young. So, this video brings me back. All the fond memories ( my Mom loved Juanga too).

Saludos!!

He was a complete showman, not only did he include a symphonic band, mariachi, banda, dancers and a huge choir. I went to his concerts year after year until I couldn’t anymore. His lyrics are so beautiful and he lives on through his beautiful music.

DonVon, just to explain something about this song… it is his son, bot originally he wrote this song for another famous woman singer, her name is ISABEL PANTOJAS (look for her too, bro) because this song sound beautiful on her voice too… so, many of his songs that he was singing on his performances, came from his pencil but originally wrote for another artists… believe me, he was a LEYEND in the music industry, because he was a Musician, Singer, Performer and one of the best songwriters on the Spanish world

If you like good music you have 100% have heard of Juan Gabriel and 100% love him (well I don’t know about this new gen but yeah) I remember listening to him as a child and loving him then (I’ve always had an old soul) now as an adult I much more appreciate his lyrics, the lyrics have so much meaning and passion in it. I cried so much binging on your reactions to him. I just LOVE him and am so happy you do as well. Mexico has been blessed with so many talented artists and we are so lucky to be part of it. Marco Antonio Solís is another Mexican artist on another level as well. Nothing like him though amazing still. Btw get an app or google the lyrics before hand because knowing just what the songs say makes it so much better❣️

DonVon... just found your channel, thanks to Juan Gabriel. Don't know if any of your subscribers have already mentioned, but we Mexicans never refer to this amazing singer as Juan. It's always JUAN GABRIEL. If you haven't reacted to his song EL NOA NOA, written by him around 1980, please do so... here's a little history about this nightclub in Ciudad Juarez. "The song's title, "EL NOA NOA," refers to a nightclub of the same name located in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. It was at this venue where young Gabriel often performed, kickstarting his journey in the world of music. The nightclub, which he fondly remembers, was a spot filled with diversity and acceptance, where individuals could truly express themselves, a sanctuary for those craving an outlet for their eccentricities." This 68 year old Mexican woman thanks you for bringing Juan Gabriel to a bigger audience.

I was fortunate to see him in concert two times. The last time my husband and I took. my 70 year old mom and her cousin with us. They were walking hand in hand like little teenagers so excited to see Juan Gabriel. Ladies of all ages loved him. Especially because he was so loving to moms. I think they all felt he was lacking in a mothers love and loved him back. This is one of my favorite songs. There will never be another Juan Gabriel. His songs of love, joy, sadness, revenge, passion and pain resonated in everyone's hearts. Men loved him too, but pretended not to because they wanted to be macho. 😉.
