these indian singers have been vocally training since age of 4 or 5....its like family traditions really.....many of the indian/pakistani singers you will listen have similar great control over the voices because they have been training for so long....neha kakkar isn't even the best ones...she's good but has got to go many miles ahead....i would love to see your reaction to shreya ghosal or sunidhi chauhan...those two are absolute legends

Great job sir....just once listen to Shashaa Tirupati, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan Nikita Gandhi, Jonita Gandhi and there are many more from India...these are the contemporaries which especially fuse their style with western singing just like Neha....our retro songs has a strong base of our Indian Classical Music which just like the western classical is very rich melodically but even after using similar concepts are vastly different ....so if you're interested in Indian Music I'd suggest that you start with Bollywood Contemporary songs of the artists I mentioned above and then you should definitely check out our retro songs of legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohd. Rafi, Asha Bhosale, Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey and the list goes on and on

That quick shift in pitch called 'murkiyan' when in between a song , and called "Aalap" when done alone. and thats one very important part in Indian Classical music , The more the versed the singer those comes like swift ..very swift ... Very nice , thanks for telling the techniques , and thanks for touching Indian singing style , because sometimes the style is so different its difficult to develop technique seeing the videos for western singing, basically like pop. That head voice chest voice , I very much agree , when to shift , I joined music class here in usa to work on my range , but then i can apply it on English pop songs , but not to Indian Classical music , which is my base training, so I feel confused most of times. Looking forward to see more trick and techniques on Indian Style , Thank you !
