The guitarist here is Jake. E. Lee, the original guitar and song writer was Randy Rhoads who died in 1982 is aircraft incident. Jake is an awesome guitarist but got lost in the loss of Randy.

Jake was great. His playing was fresh and different, unique. And he was a showman too, a real cool guy. His playing had tons of attitude, but works like Killer of Giants just proves that he could play a bit more melodic and tastier stuff too.

One of the BEST CONCERTS I've ever attended was OZZY in Oslo Spectrum in 2008. So in his 60th year, and he had been sober for a while.. His talking voice is affected of a hard life using all sorts of substances. But his singing voice were clear as crystal. His energy on stage surpassed his musicians who where half his age. And in the audience were kids under 10 and oldest must've been 70+. His voice has always facinated me... it's like a raw crystal, with interesting facets, and his stage presence were surprisingly gentle. His voice, in general, is quite monotone, but there's something about Ozzy, the man, the artist, that captivates you. And it also helps that he writes good songs.

I really like Jake E. Lee's playing...his melodic approach is really impressive. I read that he took classical piano lessons when he was young...both Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai had keyboard training when they were young.

Jake was amazing playing for Ozzy as he had his own style as good as Randy's was, but in a different way, but still suiting Ozzy's music.. but when Jake played Randy's songs he really payed tribute to him. Ozzy/Sharon were imbeciles for letting him go..

I listened to Ozzy's autobiography lately it was brilliant did you know that Randy was going to leave at the end of that tour? But then was killed the day after in that plane crash. His mom was a music teacher and he wanted to go into a more classical direction with his playing Randy Rhoads was on his way to being one of the greatest

His energy, stage presence and charisma was 100%! Plus seeing Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler live was phenomenal. When they opened their show with WARPIGS, I Lost My Mind!!!

Beth, it's not just a rumor. He literally did so on stage. He had to go get rabies shots. He also bit the head of a dove off cause he was drunk. Oh also he was sued twice for the song Suicide Solution(a song that talks about alcohol abuse) cause two teenagers killed themselves "supposedly" by listening to that song.

I think it's impossible to be a fan of rock and metal without knowing Ozzy. First of all, Black Sabbath are among the all-time greatest bands of both genres. Secondly, Ozzy is such a character. I personally always preferred other singers in Black Sabbath. But 80's and early 90s Ozzy solo stuff is some of the best in Metal. The guitarist is Jake E. Lee I think. The original version was played by Randy Rhoads, who tragically died much too young. Another very good guitarist who worked with Ozzy is Zakk Wylde, who has possibly the heaviest guitar sound in the business :D

Ozzy is probably is even bigger and more popular in the USA. We’ve adopted him as our son. He lived here so long, and his music became popular here first post Black Sabbath. About his singing, he’s like David Lee Roth, who both aren’t great singers, but have unique special abilities and showmanship. DLR special ability is the shriek, and Ozzy’s is the wicked laugh and the child like talking voice he does in his songs. It’s a little comical by both singers. If you don’t know what I mean about Ozzy, listen to his song “Miracle Man.” That song and many others he does that high pitch talk or sings it.

You should also check out the group Badlands which was Jakes band after he left Ozzy. Badlands were much more blues-based in the vein of led Zeppelin and had some really great songs. Their singer Ray gillan was also in Black Sabbath for a short time. Just Google Badlands and you would come up with several hits that they had. Gillan had a very unusual voice in my opinion and I think you would enjoy reacting to them as well.

Oh, that's not just a rumour, Beth. Ozzy definitely did bit the head off a bat. Had to get rabies shots, and everything. And he's huge in the US with Metalheads, who know Sabbath as the Godfathers of Metal. Once _The Osbournes_ came out, I was astounded to come back to my parents' from LA for the Holidays and actually hear my mom (b. 1934) say she liked the show over Christmas Dinner, saying Ozzy was funny. I was like: "Mom, you *_DO_* remember that time I was in High School and you surreptitiously threw out all my Black Sabbath and Ozzy t-shirts (which I'd bought with my own money) and told me it was because you thought I was 'worshipping The Devil,' right?!?!" "Well, They were all black, and . . ." "Mom, THAT was the guy on the shirt! Ozzy, from that dumb reality show you now say you like 20-odd years later like was the guy I liked!" "Well, they just didn't look good on you . . ." "Right . . .👀"
