Same for me. I feel healed emotionally towards the end on one of the sustained notes Mitch delivers... I think it's on the word "down"? I've been curious about the "why" of that for years now. Only thing I can think of is that if a frequency and vibration can break glass (or chrystal) why can't a frequency heal, soothe, restore a harmonic balance in a human being? I know nothing about such things but can't come up with any other explanation. Mitch's voice heals something inside of me sometimes and one of those times is during this performance. I listen daily as well. Get my Mitch Grassi fix. 😊

Ok so like 2 years ago I had a jaw operation where I had lower jaw puller forwards because I had an over bite and the recovery was lost. I couldn't speak or est properly for like 6 weeks roughly and I was in pain all the time as well. The only thing that made me feel better and perked me up during that time was watching Pentatonix and Superfruit videos. This was one of the ones that I played repeatedly because it just made me feel so much better. Fast forward 2 years I am currently on my way to going back to college (English college) to study performing arts because they have inspired me to do so.

He's sung an E2 before, during a Superfruit livestream. That's his lowest recorded chest note I'm aware of: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5TTnJWrf6trp8U (28:47). Although it's not really part of his usable range. I don't think he can go that low most days. And yeah there was that interview where he growled an A1 cause he was trying to impersonate Avi lol. (We need an up-to-date Mitch Grassi vocal range video)

Maisie Summers he’s a light lyric tenor, not a countertenor
@chrismartinez1445 жыл бұрын
A light-lyric tenor and not a countertenor? Yeah, I guess I would agree with you. I think of countertenor being just a vocal role, you know, just a particular way of singing. (That's what all fachs are, really, just different roles.) So I think he could be a countertenor if he wanted to, and in this song I'd say he's singing pretty countertenor-y, so to speak (lol), but taking into account all of the other stuff he's ever sung, it becomes clear that countertenor is not the best label for him. in my opinion

I'm obsessed with this one, old as it is. I listen daily. Another song that Mitch consistently delivers on is Pentatonix's Cover of "Telephone" by Lady Gaga. He has a part of his range that he chooses to place in a way that is nothing short of Angelic. His "Angel Voice" is beautiful! He'd go there when PTX is winding up their arrangement of "Break Free" in past years. He's used this delivery in their live performances of "Can't Sleep Love", an Original song by Pentatonix. There's a sing-talk part in the version they perform live that Mitch just kills me with every time at the end! Scott used to throw his head back and his arms out in surrender during that part, so I know I'm not the only one Mitch is slaying with the beauty of his delivery! I wish that was on the vs. they released as a single! Tink performed the sing-talk part on their Target Deluxe vs. of their Self-Titled album. So interesting about tuning on the "M"! I never caught that before, and I'm so glad you pointed that out! Thank you for reacting to this! 💕

Mitch, Scott, and Kirstin have all been in theatre since at least high school, so they could definitely go on Broadway. Kirstin actually has been though, she was in a Broadway production of Kinky Boots and by all accounts did a great job! I feel like she gained a lot of vocal consistency around the same time too, which would make sense; during the Sing-Off I think she was the least consistent of the members but she's improved a ton since then.
