She also has stage presence which adds to her singing. Once she starts performing, I totally forget her speaking voice. Only her singing voice stays in my head and her ability to command the stage!!!! Her speaking voice gave me a shock in the beginning but I quickly forgot it once she started singing!!!!

IN the first minute of her performance the surprise factor is what grabs you but that fades. The rest of her performance is where you start to really appreciate how well she is singing. So the answer is yes, I would be just as impressed. The shock factor gets her in the door but it cannot keep her inside. It wears out quickly and then its the singing ability that is carrying her.

I heard her sing FIRST then heard her her speaking voice. Yes, was impressed. I would very much enjoy listening to her continued success in this business. I hope it doesn't strip her of her individualism. I would be very curious to see your reaction to another singer. Sam Bailey. Can't word it as to why, but her singing gets me emotional.
