There's theories that say that the longer Geoff's (the bass) hair is, the lower his voice gets, the same with Earl's (the highnote guy) beard but his voice gets higher. I agree with those theories

Pretty kitty! And wow, I love watching people's first reaction to Geoff. I mean, he is all over sexy, voice, looks...not that the other guys are any slouches either! You may also want to check out their version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." WITH SUBTITLES ON! It's just very pure and beautiful and IMO very unique! Oh, and FYI, on Geoff's channel he also does a reading of "The Raven" which is the audio equivalent to sitting in a hot tub, being fed gourmet chocolates by someone you fancy, and sipping a lovely wine! He also has a lesson on there on how to sing low, too. Another video suggestion..."Progressive Christmas Carols" by Paint (which was made before "Progressive" was a major political party name), it is PURE PARODY and makes fun of the songs even, but his voice is EPIC and they're hilarious! Also, Adam Lambert. Singing Queen, or pretty much anything else! They are very different. True, they are both acapella, but it's like comparing two operas just because they both are operas. Pentatonix have the timing perfection. It's just glorious. VoicePlay have playfulness and characters.

VoicePlay (more like Geoff cause he does a lot of the arrangements) just kinda says screw it and does whatever the hell they want to.

I'd say part of the difference is that Pentatonix are very self-conscious, while VoicePlay don't have any trouble with being giggled at. Kids in Oogie-Boogie song, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, You're a mean one - they make themselves comical and it's glorious.
