The ‘Story of One Sky’ - an important fact: Every 3 years the ‘Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ is held in Kazakhstan. The Congress reports directly back to the United Nations’ and the final message at the end of ‘One Sky’ is a quote from the report submitted in 2019. In September 2022 Dimash was invited to perform at the ‘Seventh Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions’ and actually premiered (singing ‘live’) “The Story of One Sky” to over 100 religious leaders at this ‘closed’ event. These leaders responded with a standing ovation and referred to ‘One Sky’ as the unofficial anthem of the event. The following day Dimash was presented to Pope Francis and was given a medal and he received a blessing from the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Whamad el-Tayeb. So, choosing both the quote at the end of the song/MV and what he chooses to do in the ‘vocalise’ section of the song then becomes, to me anyway, more poignant and powerful. In the ‘vocalise’ there is, at the very least, the Muslim call to prayer, the Jewish Shofar, the Om of Buddhism and Hinduism and the bells of the Christian church so he has woven musical references of the world’s faiths together - WOW! Wouldn’t you have loved ti sit in the front (without those women speaking!} I can imagine the power, strength and feeling penetrating with his emotions and clarity of voice through my body! There was so much feeling and clarity of voice that would have penetrated everyone’s body because of Dimash’s true feeling and belief. There was such true feeling and belief in this singing, this was a masterpiece.

This fancam video from Vietnam is prize worthy. This vocal performance is a masterpiece. As well the content. The video enables us to experience it intact. The lights and drones and the crowd give it a more raw authentic experience. Almost Holy....like Ave Maria. I think our reactor here had to hold back his feelings with jest and mundane things. But thats ok. We need to care. Just within reason. Hysterics never are a good idea. Lol The topic is a serious one and a very real one. We can get too self involved and clueless. For such a young man to put together such a profund piece of great art. Heart intellect passion and talent collide. Its a rare thing. To say I admire his high quality abilities is an understatement. His being...and innate connection to music coupled with an authentic deep love and caring is rare as well. Either we won the lottery.....or He is a gift from the Divine. Dimash has added great goodness to my life and I am grateful.

Strongly disagree with you. It is best to watch the movie itself than in bits and pieces distracting you from Dimash. The official is so cut up between the movie image's, far away aerial shots and the audience's faces and doesn't focus long enough on Dimash to get the full continuity of his performance. Odd angles that don't convey the depth of his emotion. If you prefer the slick perfect sounding version...that's your call. But I think the raw atmosphere and watching Dimash fully from beginning to end....with good enough sound is much more immersive and impactful. I guess this will always be in contention. To each his own...but had to add my two cents here.

Married, 3 children, a successful business, a home to run etc. I grew up in Kazakhstan, my Dad is a petroleum engineer there, my sister went to uni with him, he'd be the first person to say there IS no order to watch his performances, he only hopes you enjoy his work. I do, as I enjoy many things.

Dimash actually sounds as good or better live, it's not the sound guy, it's Dimash and the quality of his voice. Most people didn't realize it was Dimash making all the sounds especially Ohmmm the Buddhist chant. And its very low either 1st octave or 0 Octave, I do think likely first octave. Dimash has growled in the 0 octave the lowest two in order G0 the Bb0

@@A-AronReacts Yes, in this case it was fully playback. Understandably so, because you don't sing this monster close to the end of a 3-4h concert, unless you want to kill your voice. In other concerts, Dimash sings the first half live, while the second half, usually starting with the Arabic singing, is playback. But in Yerevan everything was live, although slightly altered. So his choices are different each time.
